MT. RIBIDOUX HIKE YAYYYYY

Recommended Posts

OK my peeps I did another hike today. And went with a fit thin young 23 year old. It was difficult to keep up with her, but I did it huffing and puffing and sweating, but I DID IT.

A year ago I could barely walk up the stairs of own my home (so much pain in my knees). Walking the mall, or going various places they would sometimes lock on me and I would have to wait in place and try to adjust them back to walk :( ...5 months after surgery and 54 lbs. gone, NO PAIN IN MY KNEES after todays hike.

I am NOT at goal BUT I FEEL SO BLESSED and happy, words CAN NOT EXPRESS how grateful I am. I really believe THE BEST IS YET TO COME...OK I have to stop before I start crying...Thanks again for all your support and love.

P.s. I've attached pics from the hike and one pic taken 1 week before my sleeve. Also special thanks to you Leslie for the 411 on Mt. Rubidoux :)

Thanks Pam :)

The weight loss helps soooo much! Of course it doesn't repair the damage already done, but it totally takes the pressure off of the knees. 1 pound is 7 pounds of pressure on our poor knees. Believe me when I say my knees love my sleeve too.

I had to look twice at your pictures to even recognize you. Huge difference all around. Congratulations on making the sleeve work!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
