TODAY - 7 months out and 64.2 pounds gone!

And yes, that .2 is very important!

I cannot believe that it has been 7 months already. In some ways, it is a blur and then I recall the struggles, the doubts, the what-ifs. I am so glad that I had this done. I finally found a way to manage my weight and feel proud of myself.

I am sitting here wearing size 8 Tommy Hilfiger jeans and a tight little purple sweater. ME!!!!! Hard to believe.

I'm 3.8 pounds from my initial goal of 135. Still trying to decide if that is the "right" weight or if I am going to revise it a little and strive for 125. I'm 5'6", but a very small frame/bone structure.

Still waiting for the ribs to heal so that I can start back on the treadmill. Once I get to a routine, that should help me with my final weight goal figuring in muscle tone vs the fat that is still left.

For everyone on the fence or feeling like you are going to be the one to fail ... I am doing it and you can to. I had so many doubts going into this and even in the first few months being sure I would be the one to fail at VSG. But, I am winning the battle of the bulge for the first time in my life. I am sooooooo excited! :laugh0: :lol0:

Thanks for the kind words. Looks like you are doing AWESOME as well. Maybe all of us who saw Dr. Umbach should fly to Vegas - give Dr. U a big hug and then go PARTY!!!!! :laugh0:

Yay MINI!! I'm super happy for you!

How inspirational for me... I'm going in 19 days )

Congrats. That's a big accomplishment to be at near goal. I hope I am able to say that one of these days.

Yay! Congratulations and that .2 is important!!!! Those little points are what keep me going some days! How wonderful to be so close, and wearing size 8 jeans and little sweaters! Keep up the posts, it really helps those of us headed down to stay focused!

Congratulations on a job well done! You've had a wonderful recovery.

Sounds like a wonderful plan! I had already set a reward for when I get to goal weight for me to white Water raft on the Colorado River...so could definitely stay a couple of days in Vegas since I'll be in the neighborhood! :001_cool:

I think I see a fun plan coming together. :001_cool:

Congrats!!!

Still waiting for the ribs to heal so that I can start back on the treadmill.

What happened to your ribs?

Very embarrassing ... let's just say I was ah hem ... "wrestling" with my husband. I must have turned the wrong way or something and tore the cartilage between my upper ribs on my left side. :001_cool: But on a positive note, if you are gonna get hurt - what a way to do it! :confused1:

I'm in a rib brace right now. The pain is tolerable, but I'm limited in motion while it heals. Hopefully next week things will be healed enough that I can do the treadmill flat & then start progressing to inclines.

Too much TMI?
