TODAY - 7 months out and 64.2 pounds gone!

And yes, that .2 is very important!

I cannot believe that it has been 7 months already. In some ways, it is a blur and then I recall the struggles, the doubts, the what-ifs. I am so glad that I had this done. I finally found a way to manage my weight and feel proud of myself.

I am sitting here wearing size 8 Tommy Hilfiger jeans and a tight little purple sweater. ME!!!!! Hard to believe.

I'm 3.8 pounds from my initial goal of 135. Still trying to decide if that is the "right" weight or if I am going to revise it a little and strive for 125. I'm 5'6", but a very small frame/bone structure.

Still waiting for the ribs to heal so that I can start back on the treadmill. Once I get to a routine, that should help me with my final weight goal figuring in muscle tone vs the fat that is still left.

For everyone on the fence or feeling like you are going to be the one to fail ... I am doing it and you can to. I had so many doubts going into this and even in the first few months being sure I would be the one to fail at VSG. But, I am winning the battle of the bulge for the first time in my life. I am sooooooo excited! :laugh0: :lol0:

Thanks for giving us newly 4 days out from surgery hope.

As far as the ribs, I don't know if I should feel sorry for you or envy you. lol

Let's go for the envy ... helps enhance my new self image of being a "Sex Kitten"!

You go girl!!! I'm done about 70 lbs now...40 or so to go! YAY!! I'm so excited that I can fit into regular size clothes now. Just got a pair of size 12 jeans and they fit!!! Can't believe it...me in a size 12. 7 months ago, I barely fit into my size 22s! :scared0:

Thanks for the kind words. Looks like you are doing AWESOME as well. Maybe all of us who saw Dr. Umbach should fly to Vegas - give Dr. U a big hug and then go PARTY!!!!!

I think we should for our 1 yr anniversary!! That would be so awesome...and a tax write off. LOL! :scared0:

My husband said the same thing "I broke you!". Too funy. I guess we both get badges of honor. :scared0:

My hubby thinks it's hilarious that he has "thrown my hip out"!! He thinks it's a badge of honor for him too! They are too funny!!

YOU GO MINI-ME :) Whoo Hoo! I would love to be a size 8 :)

We are 1 pound apart on starting weight and exactly 7 months apart on surgery date. I would say that size 8 is just around the corner for you!!!!

Mini-Me,

Congrats Girl!!! How awesome for you! Can't wait to get that close to goal, I have 24.9 pounds to go and yes, I too count tenths! Love the wrestling story as well! My man jokes that I have a Jessica Rabbit waist now! Of course the last 25 pounds or so will be all these Jessica Rabbit hips and butt!

Thanks for posting, you are really helping the newbies and the semi-pros like myself!

Yes, I too am slow and steady, maybe 6-7 pounds a month now and I am happy with that!

Looking forward to your GOAL post!

I thiwaternk I am doing good... struggling to get in the water...but at least hitting over 40oz... I am so happy for u Mini-me..you really are mini!!!! I hope that I can lose at least 80 lbs...and my goal is 145 and I am 5.5 I never remember wearing anything below a 14 and that was in the early 80's...I am planning on putting those stretch marks on the old credit card instead of me!!!!

Thanks everyone ... Update on the ribs - they are doing a lot better. Still have some pain when I turn or breathe really deep, but I'm out of the rib brace now.

I've been jumping up and down from 138.8 to 141 the past two weeks. Didn't change anything, but today I was 138.4. I'll take going down 0.4 any day over a jump up.

Glad to hear that this is helping the newbies and those "semi-pros" ... I know I had a lot of encouragement when I was starting out. Nice to know that I am playing it forward a little bit.
