Hello bones, nice to see you again!

Recommended Posts

So I find that I can't keep my hands off my jawbone and collarbone. It's as if I have to keep touching them to make sure I can still feel them. And last night, laying in bed...I found ribs and a hip bone! Holy Moly I had forgotten what my bones felt like.

Even the bones in my hands and wrist are starting to change. Sometimes I see my knuckles when my hand is on the steering wheel and even they look a little different. I know some of you are feeling the same way, and only you guys would be able to relate, so thanks for listening.

So funny that you should mention those bones  I remember about 15 years ago I lost alot of weight doing Fen-Phen (or is it Phen-Fen??). I worked at a daycare and laid down in the floor with the kiddos for naptime. I was laying on my back, and lo and behold!! Hipbones!! I couldn't believe it, and I was ecstatic!! I completely understand how exhilarating seeing a bone like that can be :) I just hope a year from now I'll be saying hello to my old bony friends again, too. Congrats!

Awesome!!! What a great NSV. I have never seen one of my rib bones or hip bones in my life lol. The collar bones are around even now at 280 so I'm greatful for that  But I know I'll be just as thrilled as you when I see one of the others! Congrats!

Yes I do the same, I keep touching my collarbones. Its very strange, like you have found a whole new typography of you. I used to do the same years ago with my ribs when I was borderline anorexic so we should be careful.

Love Jane

Congrats! So happy that you've found motivation and happiness in something that so many "regular sized" people take for granted. hehe I cant wait to be right there with you. I'm hoping that non-scale victories such as discovering new bones will keep me on the right path! This just makes me want my Surgery date to get here even faster now so I can join the club. :-)

Totally agree with you. It is weird and not everyone understands our little joys that we get from loosing weight!! Keep up the good work!

LOl...I am not to the bones phase yet...but I admit I love laying in bed knowing my stomach is so much smaller...right before my surgery I was so bloated and uncomfortable and my stomach felt really distended. Still not at collarbones...but happy nonetheless.

Congrats!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
