Tiff, why do you prefer Prilosec over Nexium?

I've never taken Nexium so I don't truly have a preference for Prilosec over Nexium.

Nexium is extremely expensive even with RX coverage. Some insurance companies will not pay for Nexium because there is not a generic available. Prilosec and Protonix are both available by RX in generic form, and most insurance companies won't balk about having to cover these 2 drugs.

This thread is making me chuckle a bit because over the last couple of weeks, I've been trying to transition into my low carb pre-op diet so that it's not a shock to my system next month. Well, for some reason, I've been salivating over the Pork rinds lately at the gas station/CS I go to, but I didn't get them because I always thought of them as a guilty pleasure and useless calories. Now I find out that I can have them without feeling like a bad girl. My daughter is going to be so excited when we get to stop by "snack central" at the gas station tomorrow afternoon so I can get me some pork rinds. :wink0:

Mary, that's too funny! Seems like we have to relearn everything LOL.

Catyroses, after you asked, I seemed to remember my mom used to like the microwave ones. So, I called her this afternoon and she said they are great. I found some on Amazon and ordered them.:biggrin0:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
