Why Gain It Back?
It will! It's a wonderful thing! As an aside, I have to tell you that popcorn is a dangerous thing! Turns out that it disintigrates to just about nothing in the stomach, so you can eat an awful lot of it even with your tiny little tummy. Stay away from the popcorn!!

Weird Dreams
I remember having vivid and bizarre dreams about food for a good week or so after my surgery. Then it stopped. Completely. Could it be a pyschological reaction to a perceived traumatic loss?

Roasted Cauliflower Soup
Yum. At this stage, I just want the roasted cauliflower straight out of the oven.

Need to vent
No one said you are not allowed to still love food! Just very small amounts are going to be going into you at once from now on. But the stuff still tastes good and it is perfectly normal to be happy about having some. You tell your mom to bug off!

NSAIDS Ok?
My surgeon was extrememly reluctant to perform a bypass on me because of the problem with nsaids and steroids for folks who have that procedure. I have a medical condition that requires my use of these medications from time to time. The whole point of me having the sleeve, according to my surgeon, was to make it possible for me to take such meds.

3rd Day Post Op Sleeve
Four months out . . . still burping!!! LOL!

Pills all day - sick of it already!
Hang in there. It all goes back to normal in just a couple more months. I can swallow anything now, even these huge pills I have to take for a medical condition that I have. Those were the worst post-surgery. The taste of them crushed was absolutely horrific. After about 3 weeks, I was cutting them into thirds and swallowing them that way. Now I can take a handle of pills at one time and swallow lots of liquid all at once too. Remember, this time of your life is really brief. You can do it!

Ricotta Bake
Mozzarella doesn't mush up very well, not matter how much you chew, once it's been melted. Just keep that in mind.
