NSV shout outs

  • Popular Post

Hi all. I am now down roughly 60 pounds and seven weeks out from when I started my liquid pre-diet. Am also having some awesome NSV moments. Some are:

  • No longer wearing 3x shirts. They are packed and ready to be taken to Goodwill.
  • My size 48 (expandable) pants? Gone too.
  • Can button my pants at my belly button. No more "slant pants."
  • I wore a much smaller belt...and it was a new one!
  • Went three days this past week without needing a mid day nap.
  • Three days now without any slimes or throwing up.
  • Joined a local health club to work out.
  • Snoring is all but gone. No more BP meds at all (125/65 is normal now). And BMs much more normal and less stressful.
  • Bought myself an I-touch. That was my 50 pound loss gift to myself. Any suggestions for the 100 plateau?

That's a short list, but ones that come to mind.

Please, share yours!

Let's look at the fact that this journey is not just about the weight loss, but about all the wonderful things that continue to happen along the ride!

Don't know quite how to express it, but I used to wake up every day thinking, "I'm going to start dieting today", then fail by lunch.

The thought process about what kind of diet can I stick to is over!

Okay I finally have another NSV moment! So My sister and brother in law were in town for a few days, and I had not seen my brother in law in about 8 months. We sat around visiting for awhile, then I excused myself to use the restroom. My brother in law says to my sister "WOW she is skinny" So of course my sister tell me as soon as I got back from the restroom, I went straight across the room and gave my brother in law a kiss!!! I sure love that man!!! Made my whole day, week, month!!

Have a great day!

That's so awesome ! ! ! When did we ever think we'd hear skinny as a word used to describe us? ? ? You've done so great.

That realy is a big one... along with doing away with all of those negative feelings assoiated with the repeated failure.

Never in the last 20 years did I ever think I would be described as skinny!!

Thank you so much Tiff!!!!!! I love my sleeve, I love my sleeve!!!!!!!!!

Woot! I haven't been on in awhile, but congrats on all of those great NSVs!

I graduated from college this past Saturday, and at our graduation practice, I had two classmates (neither of whom has seen me since at least December, and I got sleeved in Jan.) make comments. And this was with my gown on. One said, "Wow, Randi! You look amazing! How much weight have you lost?!" And I just said "a lot." :lol0: And the other girl (a SKINNY girl) said "Holy crap, Randi! You're like half the size you were before. You look awesome! How are you doing that? Just eating better?" And I said..."yep" hahaha. :001_tt2: I love when other people notice. Makes it all feel much more real.

Great NSV'S!!!

I was called "tiny" the other day by a girl I work with!! TINY??? I am far from "Tiny" but it was still an ego boost!! I guess from 354 pounds to 173 it is smaller!! LOL

Congrats to all, great NSVs. Colleagues at work are telling me I don't need to lose any more. :001_tongue:

A co-worker (woman) told me yesterday that I was starting to look like one of thoses skinny little things with a boob job! Woot! Woot!

Don't stop until your BMI is under 25 if possible. I am sure some people want to keep you podgier than themselves.

Randi, great job!!!! And keep them guessing!

My latest NSV has to do with my dancing. I have posted that I started ball room dance classes last September. They are so much fun. Lately after our Wednesday lessons, a group of us have gone to a bar so we can dance some more. I have never been big into bars and I don't drink but I do love to dance. The past few times I have gone, I am not even in there 5 minutes before I have some guy wanting to buy me drinks and asking me to dance. This just seems so odd to me. Years ago when I use to go out, I felt like the biggest wall flower sitting around watching everyone else have fun.

I guess this is an NSV....

This morning in the mailroom at work...

Co-worker: Oh...hey, (name)! It didn't look like you from the back!

Me: Oh yeah?

Co-worker: Yeah- you look much different from behind! And that's a good thing!

Me: Thankssss... I guess....:crying:???

The good news is that I DO feel like I look different! And I feel GREAT!
