  2. Yep- I went with VV2010 and we had a fantastic experience- Dr. Alvarez is a most excellent professional and his staff is terrific as well. I am THRILLED with my sleeve and had no issues with healing. Two months out, I'm leading a very normal life- working out and eating healthy- just smaller portions than my "old life"! Dr. Alvarez was wonderful- I definitely recommend!!
  3. Way to go Sleeve Sister! 50 pounds-- that's absolutely awesome!!!
  4. I guess this is an NSV.... This morning in the mailroom at work... Co-worker: Oh...hey, (name)! It didn't look like you from the back! Me: Oh yeah? Co-worker: Yeah- you look much different from behind! And that's a good thing! Me: Thankssss... I guess....:crying:??? The good news is that I DO feel like I look different! And I feel GREAT!

You look absolutely fantastic DeeDee and are such an inspiration to me! I've even looked into joining Jazzercise in the Atlanta area! :-)
  6. Tiffy, I'm using Nasonex, Zyrtec and a Singulair daily with no problems and my allergies are finally under control this spring. I've wanted to try a nettipot though! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!
  7. Awesome summary of the week 1 experience VV! I'm so proud of us!
  8. Lee, thank you so much for posting your great perspective and experience. I want to try so hard to only weigh myself once a week, because the scale has such an effect on my day! Little or no loss= cranky SlimDiddy.
  9. Fab- I think the subject line is just too funny.... "I'm the one in the pink" and you are with your two furbabies!! That just gave me the giggles! You're an inspiration!!
  10. BJean, you're right. The gas either escapes up top or down below (excuse me!) It's because the doctor fills your stomach with air during the surgery (not exactly sure why- maybe to check for leaks?). The gas is the most painful part, I found. Now that I'm four days out, I don't have the gas pains hardly at all and I'm back to normal activity. Going to work on Monday shouldn't be a problem. In fact, VV and I felt so good on Monday, when we were back in San Antonio we explored River Walk and the Alamo! San Antonio has a beautiful downtown!
  11. That gurgling sound IS really weird! I am getting used to slowing down and taking tiny sips too. I think you're perfectly normal, SamieTeacher! And I hope it's your spring break and you're enjoying it!
  12. I'll be sending good thoughts your way, City Gal! Makin' room on the loser's bench now....
  13. Thanks for the good wishes everyone! We'll keep you updated! We had to take a taxi to Walmart tonight- Delta sent my suitcase to BUFFALO, NY with all my comfy jammies, slippers, heating pad, toiletries and everything!!! UGGGGHHH!!! At least I have my passport. Hope to update you all on Sunday. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts!
  14. TTGirl, hope you had a great surgery and can't wait to hear how it went! Keep us updated! VV2010 and I are sleeved tomorrow! It's going to be hard to fall asleep tonight!
