NSV shout outs

  • Popular Post

Hi all. I am now down roughly 60 pounds and seven weeks out from when I started my liquid pre-diet. Am also having some awesome NSV moments. Some are:

  • No longer wearing 3x shirts. They are packed and ready to be taken to Goodwill.
  • My size 48 (expandable) pants? Gone too.
  • Can button my pants at my belly button. No more "slant pants."
  • I wore a much smaller belt...and it was a new one!
  • Went three days this past week without needing a mid day nap.
  • Three days now without any slimes or throwing up.
  • Joined a local health club to work out.
  • Snoring is all but gone. No more BP meds at all (125/65 is normal now). And BMs much more normal and less stressful.
  • Bought myself an I-touch. That was my 50 pound loss gift to myself. Any suggestions for the 100 plateau?

That's a short list, but ones that come to mind.

Please, share yours!

Let's look at the fact that this journey is not just about the weight loss, but about all the wonderful things that continue to happen along the ride!

I think board shorts over the swim suit look adorable. I have 2 swim suits now and 2 pair of board shorts. It feels really good not to freak out over wearing a swim suit anymore. It's too bad it's too cold here to put one on. I would imagine I'll go somewhere warm this summer though.

I just wanted to say that I have yet to even have surgery but all of these stories are so incredibly inspiring! I can relate to so many of the "fat" experiences that now define my life. Ugh... can't wait for insurance to hurry and decide about my appeal.

If they don't approve I am strongly considering going to see Dr. Aceves but I am super scared about surgery in Mexico..... someone make me feel better!!!

I had no idea that they were related to my former lifestyle choices, but I used to get a few headaches a week that I would take tylenol for. Well today I am 5 weeks out and in that entire time I have had ONE. That is amazing to me.

O.K. guys, I dont shop much, what are board shorts?

Kind of swim trunks for girls that are super comfy ! ! !

They make them in different lengths.

I didn't go to Aceves, but I did go to Mexico (Dr Rodriguez). If I ever have to have my tonsils out I want to go back.... much better care than I would have gotten in the US.

Okay.. I'm only two weeks out but I've been DYING to post something.

I have worn nothing but sweat pants since surgery because I took a full two weeks.

I'm back at work now and the cloths I was busting out of before are now baggy.

It's no bikini and board shorts... but I'm on my way:lol0:

I was waiting for a great size story before I posted here, but something happened I couldn't hold in:

My two year old was watching me get undressed in the bathroom. Now normally she sings the "I like em big, I like em chunky" hippo song from Madagascar 2 when Im mooning her by mistake or really because she doesn't belong in the bathroom.

But last night she said "Mommy, why you skinny?" I almost cried. I asked what did she mean and she just said "you skinny". Granted I just came off of a 11 day stall and lost 2 lbs and I was a little down in the dumps; but when she said that I just lit up!

Awww "out of the mouth of babes" ! ! !

This one made me giggle, and kind get nostalgic. I remember all the cute things kid say, and they always have a way to bring us up when we really need it.

Congrats ! ! !

OMGOSH pumpkin

That is so funny!!!!! When I hit a size medium tops and size 10 pants I felt like yelling it to anyone that would listen!!

Good for you!!

Bought some board shorts at Sam's to wear over my swimsuit - size MEDIUM....I wore the tags all night.

That is just totally awesome!!!! I have not had a swim suit on in MANY years!!! I should go out and buy one!!

Bought a swim suit yesterday...size 14. I have not worn a 14 since high school! It fits very well! I am soooo happy with my sleeve!
