its so exciting to read everyone's progress. I'm two weeks in and I am down almost 2 sizes, my 24's and 22's are nice and roomy. I need to dig in some old clothes for some 20's and see what they are fitting like.

Congrats! That is amazing, I love reading success stories, my eyes tear up with JOY for you!!!

My surgery is Sept. 10th. I am currently a size 22 and I haven't been a size 12 in over 20 years, I just can't imagine myself below a size 16. I hope I get smaller than that but right now it just seems impossible.

I keep hoping I will drop sizes faster......but so far no go. I DID buy a pair of trousers in the regular sizes, and they were a 16 too :) So I guess from a 18-20 W to a 16 regular is progress but I so want to try the 14's! I still wear my 18w's to work every day, they are pulled up to under my boobs and I'm walking on the bottoms, but since they are mostly knit you don't notice the droopy crotch/butt too much....lol

I can only dream about being where you are now! I figure I'm maybe 2-3 months away, IF all goes well. I look forward to fitting into those sizes, but I'm not a fan of shopping. So instead of finding something decent from a few possible choices, I have a feeling I'll be overwhelmed with deciding among so many new options. I seriously get nervous when I think about THAT flip side, but it won't slow me down on this journey any, at least!

Shopping is a lot more fun now than it was 100 pounds ago. I still find myself looking at Lane Bryant clothes & bras. I can now fit into Victoria Secret, but have a hard time letting go of Lane Bryant...weird! Have fun creating your new wardrobe.

Do you have any before and after pics? I wear a 24/26 and want to stop at a size 10/12

Hey Looking Ahead--I was a tight 24/26/28 (depending on the item of clothing) and am now in a 10/12/14 (again depending on the clothing--LOL). You can check out my profile for before/after pics. That's me at my -100 pounds mark, so I'm down around 20 pounds more from that pic. It makes a BIG difference. Of course I got to replace my entire closet, which was SO MUCH FUN!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
