Baking is a passion but I like "real" food (LOL) to be simple to prepare. You can get snack size cups of pineapple tidbits in it's own juice in the grocery store (4 to a pack). If you mix one of these with 2 tablespoons of sweet n sour chinese sauce and add some peppers (or whatever else you like) you can use it to create Hawaiian chicken, shrimp, beef, etc. The extra keeps in the fridge for a week. It's also a great marinade.

An easy dessert is to take the 60 calorie fat-free Jello pudding cups and freeze them. They taste like ice-cream and take longer to eat. Grapes are also good frozen.

I just wanted to say thank you for the frozen pudding cup idea! I tried that tonight and it was a wonderful treat. Thank you for that!

I have some in the freezer; however, have been afraid to try them as I'm afraid they're going to be too sweet like everything else has been ... have you had that too sweet problem and, if so, how did the pudding cups measure up?

I just bought some and put them in the freezer.

I am taking the Vit. D test that WASa recommends because one of the symptoms of having a vit. D deficiency is craving for sweets.

I don't think the pudding cups are very sweet. I don't know about frozen, but I find the Jello brand less sweet than the Swiss Miss brand.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
