5 1/2months out 4fills later feeling restriction

Recommended Posts

The first 6 months I lost 5 lbs. After my 3rd fill the weight loss started. I kept losing for another two years.

It's nice hearing from someone who didn't lose a lot right away. Thanks for sharing!

I was banded Aug 1st with no fill. I lost 10lbs the first two weeks due to the internal swelling and jst from the liquid diet i was on, but now this 3rd week my hunger is back! With Vengeance!

And my family and friends are texting me daily to see how much ive lost and im embarrassed to keep saying the same 10lbs in my 3rd week!!

Now im unable to eat an entire can of Soup in one sitting so i eat half and then in 4hrs when im hungry again i finish the other half.

August 30th will be my first fill from listening to your stories i probably wont go from 0 to 6cc's on the first fill.

I wish there was a way to do our own fills in the comfort of our own home!

I think they know its best not to leave that sort of control in our own hands!!

Ha! #wishfulthinking

Im on my 4th fill doc says I have about 7 cc. Im officially feeling restriction and can only get in 2 small meals since my fill. Now Im down 38 lbs total HOWEVER!! I am 8 months out and 1st 20lbs came off in 1st 2 months. My surgeon seemed very upset with me. He said he hopes this is my last fill! What???

Isn't this for tool for life?

My general doc said 35 seems about all I should have expected and If I wanted to lose more I should have had the sleeve.

Im very down and feeling regretful. Especially when I am trying to stay under 800 calories and cut out almost all carbs and sugars.

Highest weight 224 12/09/12

Current 186

Height 5'1

Understandably very frustrating but you can do this!! Is your Dr. Telling you how many calories to eat? The reason I ask is because if youre getting in too few calories your bidy will go into starvation and you wont lose any weight. My Dr. Told me i had to eat 1200 cal. A day. Now that doesnt always happen but i stay between 1000-1200. Maybe try bumping up your cal. By 100 for a week and see if that helps. Too little cal. Is just as bad as too many. Its about being healthy iverall. Yoyre doing great stick with it and the results will come!!

Everyone is different. I have 3cc in my band and her okay restriction but at 4cc couldn't get even a mushy down, was too tight. I joined Zumba 3 times a week. The weight is really coming off. I lost 15lbs in the last month since I started the Zumba. Down 40lbs total. There's no race to your goal weight. U will get there. Like you said, it's a tool not a miracle

I know that feel all too well. A year after surgery and I still battled with getting in to the "green zone". You'll get there, stay positive!

I'm sure your friends and family mean well. However' date=' if I was you, and I started to feel a bit harassed (for lack of a better word), I would tell them in the nicest way: "I actually STOPPED weighing myself, because my doctor said I should focus on HEALING during these first few MONTHS, and that the weight will start to really come off once I find my sweet spot. We [my surgeon and i'] are working towards that goal.... But you know what.... My clothes DO feel more comfortable!!!" <~~~that's what I would say

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
