I am having my first fill tomorrow at 2. I know they will have me go to liquids after the fill but should I eat lunch before I go? Something light? Does anyone have any suggestions?? I am trying not to worry about getting a fill because I know it's not going to hurt or be that big of a deal, it's just a new experience so I'm a little worried. :)

I suggest eating light tomorrow. At one of my fills, we had had a baked potato bar at work that day and I had some and ever since then my dr and I have argued about whether I am in the green zone or not. That one day, because I had a portion of a baked potato sitting in there, when he gave me a fill he felt "push back" from the Fluid going in and is positive that I am in the green zone. It's all fine because I am still losing and I don't ever get stuck or slime episodes but I'm pretty sure I'm not in the green zone. So since then I have always eaten very light on the day of a potential fill (last time he wouldn't give me one... We will continue the debate when I see him again in a couple of weeks!???‰). Good luck. It doesn't hurt at all and is over before you know it.

My doc said no food before a fill. Liquids only. Look through your materials for info.

I am not suppose to have anything 2 hrs before my fill. That includes no liquids. You could possibly call the office and find out their requirements. Good luck

I would call their office first thing in the morning to find out for sure. Most docs recommend some type of limit before a fill. The last thing you want is for the food you ate before the fill to get stuck. I recommed liquids but check with your doc to be sure.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
