First Post op fill
I suggest eating light tomorrow. At one of my fills, we had had a baked potato bar at work that day and I had some and ever since then my dr and I have argued about whether I am in the green zone or not. That one day, because I had a portion of a baked potato sitting in there, when he gave me a fill he felt "push back" from the fluid going in and is positive that I am in the green zone. It's all fine because I am still losing and I don't ever get stuck or slime episodes but I'm pretty sure I'm not in the green zone. So since then I have always eaten very light on the day of a potential fill (last time he wouldn't give me one... We will continue the debate when I see him again in a couple of weeks!???‰). Good luck. It doesn't hurt at all and is over before you know it.

Scale victory for today :)
Almost everyday is a scale victory for me since I got my lap band. It's been a little over 6 months and just the fact that I am willing to weigh myself everyday is a huge step in the right direction for me! Makes me fact the fact of my weight! But today is a day I have been reaching for. It's not "onederland" which is next goal but today I went from 209 lbs to 208 lbs. So what you might ask? For me, being 5'10", I go from a 30 BMI to 29.9 BMI. "Obese" to simply "overweight." Yes, I'm overweight but no longer obese. Who knew that could be a great feeling??? Now on to "onederland" and then my license weight! Baby steps all the way!

How Many Fills Before Green Zone
I've had 5 fills for a total of 9cc in a 14cc band and I do not think I am in the green zone. I go next week and I am hoping and praying that my dr will give me another small fill. I think I'm close but I know I'm not there. He's getting nervous about continuing to give me fills, which I appreciate, but I'm still ravenous and battling hunger all the time. Maybe this next time will be the elusive green zone? But I also think that the green zone is ever changing as our stomachs change. Just like this whole weight loss challenge, it's constant work and almost always on my mind. But progress is being made and that makes me so happy!

Resturant Picks?
At Chipotle I get 3 soft taco's and it makes 3 meals. I can eat one for dinner and one the next day for lunch (it's not bad, even cold!) and one for the following dinner. They are about 290 calories per taco. And it's delicious! At Chick-Fli-A I usually get the chicken strips and make that into 2 meals too. But I will try the kids meal next time. That sounds great too.

NSV for last night
Last night I went to the Oakland A's game, which my family is big fans of and.... I fit in the seats! I just sat down! I didn't even think about it until about the 4th inning and I started to realize that I wasn't nervous about which seat I would be in and would it be wide enough for me. The stadium chair wasn't digging into my thighs and rear. I just fit! Even though we tailgated before hand and I had more fritos than I have had in 6 months, I still fit . Oh, and today is my 6 month bandaversary. Down 65 lbs. Life is good. Love my band and my new life . Have a great day everyone!

Does anyone know of an app for iphone!
There's an app called "Eat Slower" and it will buzz at every interval you set it for (60 seconds, 90 seconds). It's free. It's great. Check it out

body dysmorphia?
I'm right there with you. I'm down 60 lbs and people stop me and complement me and I feel like I can't see it that much. I think I was in denial when I was 60 lbs heavier that I looked as bad as I probably did and now I think I look like I always have. But things that I do notice is how much easier it is to fit in chairs with arms (I use to almost panic when I saw them and had to sit in one) and like you said, I feel so much better. I think it does take a while for the brain to catch up to the physical change. But then I can still see the bulge in my stomach and my thighs are so lumpy. It's such a long road! But hang in there, we will all get through this together!

What keeps everyone more satisfied?
For breakfast (or any meal really), what works best for you all? Greek yoghurt (Dannon Light and Fit 80 Cal) or a cup of cottage cheese? If I have to eat a little more on the run I want to get the best bag for my calorie buck Thanks!

When do you workout and why?
I go first thing in the morning... 5:30 AM weekdays so I can be at work by 7:30. I do 30 minutes of cardio 4 days a week. I take Friday off and then Sat and Sunday I go for an hour + and add in weights a little later, maybe 8-8:30 AM. Once I do my hair, I cannot do it again in a day! I also walk my dog after work for about 2.8 miles. I can't believe that I am the same person that use to never be active! Love the lap band life!

Miralax Suggestions?
I just put it in water at the end of the day and drink it. You can't even taste it. It's amazing stuff. I take it every Sunday and Wednesday nights to counter all the protein congestion that I get. Good luck!
