Banded 5 days ago no restriction??

Ok so I'm confused. I see tons of people who have a hard time getting all the required liquid down but I have no issues with clear liquids and I have only felt restriction once with a cream soup. I wanna say the first two days I felt restriction with clear liquid but even my protein shakes I can drink them with no issues and not feeling full??? Any ideas??

Could be that you are a quick healer post surgery. Regardless, please stick with your dietary guidelines and you will get the best outcomes from this surgery.

Any suggestions on how to achieve the full feeling?? Or should I tough it out till I get my first fill (I go for follow up on the 17th) I wonder if he would give me a fill that early

Until you have enough fills for restriction, it's just another diet.

Stick with your surgeons diet requirements.

Sometimes it takes a number of fills to hit the green zone.

The first 6wks is for healing., not necessarily losing weight.

Good luck!

Agree with Maddysgram. Right now is for healing and its about diet and not weightloss. Many patients do not feel restriction for several fills. Some patients do get restriction when the band is placed but definatly not all patients! Good luck to you. I know the first 6-8 weeks are hard because you do not feel full but have to follow your diet rules. :( Hang in there.

Doing good so far :) keep telling myself it won't be too much longer until I can enjoy some of my old favorites. I also read this forum religiously. Thanks for the support guys!!!

I am 2 weeks post -op and not really feeling restriction. I expected it to be this way until I got a fill. Hang in there!

My appetite has changed ! I can't do any more broth !

Ive had 8 fills in 8 months and still feel no restriction so dont necessarily expect it with your 1st, 2nd or maybe even third fill.....just sayin
