I was banded on December 12 2012. My last fill put me in the beginning stage of the 'green zone' but I don't feel that it's tight enough for me. I'm still hungry, and it's the worst at night. I know a lot of it has to do with my emotions, meaning that I eat when I'm stressed or sad. Lately I've been really stressed out with work, and that's caused havoc on my diet. I pack my lunch, which helps, but when I get home I just don't have the energy or the 'will power' to stop myself from eating bad foods (for example, ice cream). How do you guys deal with it?? I'm really looking for some advice. I'm down 30 pounds, which is awesome, but I've been stuck there for about a month now. I try to go to the gym, and if I can't make it, I try to take the dogs for a walk around the block to at least do something, but someday's I can't even do that. How do you fit time in for exercise when you work nine hour days and are a full time student??? I appreciate all answers =)

Exercise first thing when u get up. Get up 1/2 hour to an hour earlier and walk at least so

U can get it out of the way first thing and then anything you can squeeze in later will be a bonus! As far as unhealthy Snacks purge your house and cupboards. If it's not there u can't eat it. If other family members complain oh well. They have to confirm to my lifestyle change here. It's a win win because then the whole family is healthy together!;)

There's an old saying around here " The band is around your stomach, not your brain". You need to find other ways to control the head hunger. We will always have stresses in or livew, so we need to learn how to handle them, that doesn't include food.

I would say, instead of the time to fix and eat ice cream, exercise then. Put in a exercise video or just some music and dance. Take a hot bath, organize something, find a hobby.

I don't believe in "willpower", its all about "wantpower". How bad do you want to succeed?

Kudo's on packing your lunch.

PS. I haven't started exercising yet, b/c of bad knee's, but watching what i eat and making good choices does work. If I get hungry between meals, I have a cup of diet hot chocolate or a bottle of Water. I just tell myself, junk is not in the plan.

Best to you. You can do this!

As maddysmom said want power, I call it won't power, I won't eat what is bad for me! I won't make excuses. I won't say I can't do this! best wishes, Karen

In my green zone I don't get head hunger so you might look into another fill many of us find out spot when our bsand is just over half full. I purged my house before surgery and told my teenagsers NOT to bring in the food I cant eat that has been a life saver for me so many times. I also go by count calories while tracking every bite this way if I need to snack it with in the program and I still loss weight. Set yourself up to win so your brain doesn't. have fruit or yogurt at the ready instead of ice cream..I make a huge pot of veggie Soup and it take seconds to heat up and under 100 calores for 1 cup so have extra if you need to. Hope some of this works for you

Don't keep foods you don't want to eat in your house. And don't use your children (if you have them) as an excuse for keeping unhealthy foods around. If it's not there, you and your family can't eat it.

Yeah, I have younger brothers and they are the excuse a lot of the time when my mom and I go grocery shopping. It's hard, but I think I'm getting back into it. I am just in a rut right now I guess.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
