Restriction Confusion

Recommended Posts

I had my last fill about a month ago (3cc original plus a 1cc fill) I had good restriction and then it waned a little and now it's weird: somedays I can barely eat and somedays I want to eat and can eat a lot! Does this restriction variation happen to you?

It sure does. I mean I have been in a good place now for a couple of months but it seemed I was always chasing that sweet spot of long lasting 'restriction'. I recall numerous times getting a fill and have it feel great for about a week then it went away. My Doc told me it could be because my stomach is shrinking quickly and the band is not as snug. Stick with it and keep up your follow ups with Doc and you'll get there.

Under my signature there is a great article from Dr Simpson on the topic. It's a great read. I recommend it to everyone.

I notice the same things. I only allow myself the amount that I am suppose to eat and it has been working for me by doing that. Sometimes I am really hungry in the evenings, but I try to keep busy exercising and I don't notice it as much. It can be hard though. I go and get another fill on the 22nd and I am hoping that gives me a little more restriction.

I feel stupid for asking this but how can I find that article? I would really like to read it. Thank you. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
