Heck no! I'm 53, and I'm just getting started on this journey. Everyday is the first day of the rest if your life. This is an investment in the rest of that abundant life! Don't consider living in misery and discomfort, watching others do what you wish you could do. Do this for you, you are worth it!

I will turn 64 in 3 days. Had my surgery 17 months ago. Best decision I ever made for myself. Many off the folks on here are your age or older. Keep faith. If you want it, go for it, but be prepared to work for it!

Heck no!!!

You are NEVER too old get your health under control! And 50 isn't even "old"!

There are many people on these forums 50 and much older.

Best wishes :)

aabsolutely not. i am 57, went through the procedure just fine on 3/5. actually went back to work after one week post op. get my first fill this week. i know the progress will be slow but i really want to be successful at this. So will you. the self doubts are normal.

53 and have my band for 3 yrs.!

Best decision. More about changing your future.

Good luck and welcome

Wendy

Go for it!!!!!

I was banded 8 months ago today! and I am 62 1/2. Best thing I did. I wish the band was around 30 years ago. You are never too old to take care of your health and try to live longer.

:D Good luck!

56 and was banded in Oct. I already feel 10yrs younger and I'm just getting started.

Anyways, 50 is the new 40,lol

<------ Meet my daughter, she's 58 and was band within the last year.

No she's not really my daughter, a great LB friend, but everyone thinks she's my daughter. I think she'd tell you, yes, go for it.

Heck no, I am 64 and had surgery at 60. It was the greatest thing that I can do for me! Best wishes.Karen

Thanks all for the wonderful words of encouragement! I am ready to start this new chapter of my life. I LOVE THIS SITE!!!

Very encouraging news because I am in the same age group. Wish I had done it sooner.

Also a member of this group! Its the greatest thing I've ever done for myself!! Good luck!!

I am 48 years old and had my surgery 3 years ago. Not one regret. Dr Monash and his staff have been with me every step of the way. A great doctor and staff is a MUST. I truly wish you the best...

Congratulations and NO, you are still very young.

Best wishes
