I am here! I am still in wait mode and healing from my gallbladder surgery. I have an appt 6/25 with Cleveland Clinic. I haven't given up but the thought of another surgery :-( Have u been banded yet?

Thanks all for the great info. My GB is already gone but I still want the LB. I had no idea they could do both at the same time. Honestly knowing what I know now about my recovery, I don't think I would do it that way. I am a slow and PAINFUL healer apparently :-( I still want the LB.

I just had my gallbladder removed a month ago and I am still struggling. I still want my lapband. If anyone has the same experience, how long did you wait to have the lapband after gallbladder surgery? Please help!

I had an appt April 19th with the LB surgeon . I had to postpone it until the 29th. Which I think is way too aggressive. My GB surgery was not planned. I am treating it with many of the tools I learned on this forum. Heating pad on stomach, walking, liquid diet only and the pillow hug to get in and out of bed. It's painful but I am coping. I want to prepare myself if they are about the same or if either is worse.

For those who have had both the band and gb removed, what is the comparison as far as pain, recovery and diet? I will never give up on my band, it's only delayed!! Thank you so much

Gallbladder being removed tomorrow

I am at a different hospital! I don't think they would even entertain it. The liquid diet that I am on is the absolute same process too!

I have been in the hospital for 5 days now and was told today my gallbladder is functioning at less than 26%! My lap band date has been postponed now. Has anyone been banded after gallbladder removal? How long do I have to wait now?

What are your symptoms?

Rears her head again as 2 days before my appt with the surgeon and psych, I am in ER and they think its my gallbladder. I have read on this site that many have had their's removed too. Coincidence???

I just discovered this location specific area this morning. Are any Clevelanders still active on this site? I am not yet banded but I hope soon (appt @ Cleve Clinic this Friday).

So confusing! This sight has been amazing to me! I know, good AND bad about the band. All advice AND advisors have been a tremendous help. People are different but the before AND after photos say it all. I just want my band AND a chance for a better quality of life. Thanks everyone...
