January 2013 Bandsters Unite

Happy New Year from Germany! To those like me who have January 2013 dates to be banded...my prayers to you for a successful surgery and a new YOU!

For those waiting on approvals or just to make up your mind...YOU WILL GET THERE...JUST HOLD ON. I have patience, but truly learned patience waiting on those little green people at the insurance company to say YES!

Speak positive, stay positive, be positive. If you know God...PRAY. He will see each of you thru this journey. I've read many posts and I have laughed, cried, gotten mad, sympatized and rejoiced with many of you through your expressions on LBT. And you have encouraged me to continue to move forward toward my goal.

Success in 2013 to each of you.

:-)

I am soooo tired. My surgery was the 16th and I can tell my body is healing from the wounds, but I have no energy. Taking a shower and getting dressed seems to take everything out of me. I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow, not so sure if that is going to happen now. I am also feeling very light-headed. Don't know if that is lack of nutrients or what. I'll ask my doc tomorrow.

The 25th cannot come fast enough. I am so ready to be a bandster. 17lbs down already. I'm so motivated!!

I just got banded today. Feeling kinda gassy hut in minor pain. Still can't breathe that we'll. Gotta use my spirometer more.

My doc said he could give me up to six weeks off so ran with it.

I am lucky that I have a very understanding boss I just can't afford to take the time off. Enjoy your time!

What an inspiration you are Lee. Just what I needed to read before my surgery tomorrow . Thanks!,

I was banded yesterday morning. I had the band with plication. I am very sore on my right side. I have had a really dry mouth and scratchy through. My dh bought be some sf popsicles last night (tropical type.) These were like heaven and may become my best friend! My surgery was at 9am and I was home by 2:30pm. Hoping for some fast healing! Good luck to all those getting banded this week.

I will be checking into hospital in one hour. I will see you all on the other side. Thanks for all the knowledge, advice, and encouragement.
