  1. I don't think they will take the time to figure out how much you weighed! People ask me and I tell them I have lost 50 lbs..I don't tell how much I weigh now. So they can think they know how much I weighed before, but they don't know for sure. They have a problem if they are going to worry about how much you weighed before!

  13. So I weigh myself every Tuesday, and today I did it...I'm down 51 lbs..that's the most weight I have ever lost doing any diet...don't mean to sound braggy, but I'm proud of myself How is everybody else doing?
  14. I sometimes have problems with lettuce if I don't chew it enough or if I recently had an adjustment. I have found if I cut the lettuce up with scissors it is easier. I only eat one piece of lettuce at a time though.
  15. I was banded 1/11 and I'm down 36 lbs. I've had the burning and stinging around my port also, texas gal.. I got a fill last Thursday 3/14 and it took my Dr a few trys to get the needle in the right spot, so I was thinking maybe that's why I'm having the burning/ stinging pain. Any other thoughts?

  20. It sure is hard. My mom asked me the other day what I could eat and I said whatever I want. But I'm choosing to follow the rules. I'm choosing not to eat in between meals. I'm choosing not to have the doughnuts, cookies, and snacks that are at work. I'm choosing to do these things even though I do feel hungry in between meals sometimes. I'm choosing because I don't want to have had surgery for nothing.I don't want to fail..I can't fail!!
  21. I have only told my family and a few friends. I had surgery Jan 11 and have lost 28 lbs since I started the pre op diet. People at work ask me what I'm doing and I just tell them a I'm doing a low carb, low fat diet, only eating 3 times a day and no snacking. All of which is true. They don't need to know I had wls. I have 3 cc in my band right now and I still get hungry and I feel I may be eating a little more then I should, so right now it is the diet. I have to make the choice not to eat in between meals and to make good food choices.

  25. At the doctors for my first fill. Down 28lbs since pre-op diet. Yay me!! Continued success to all of us January bandsters!!
  26. I don't..I not sure if you are supposed to though
  27. No! You will be able to take bigger sips, at least I do. I month out. You just can't gulp.
  28. I couldn't sleep on my back either. I tried sleeping sitting up in my bed with a heating pad on my shoulder. I never really would fall asleep, then I would go and sit in my lazyboy. I was able to sleep a couple hours there. I couldn't really sleep in my bed until I was a week post op. Try a heating pad for the shoulder and neck pain. It helped me. I had my hernia repaired also, and my shoulder and neck pain was real bad. I had it constantly for about 10 days. I'm 16 days post op and I still get pain there every now and again. It does get better though. Good luck with your journey

  30. The first few days it hurt all the time. Now it just hurts when I eat or drink something, that's why I don't just think it is gas
