  2. Hey everyone, Just checking in. I had my surgery on Jan. 9th. I hit the 50lb mark today! I'm excited, but feel like I should be further along. I must confess though, I haven't done ANY exercise . I know I need to but you know how it goes... I too was stuck at 40 lbs for 3 months. My band has 8.5 in it and I feel like that's all I can take right now. Keep up the good work January 2013 bandsters. WE WILL DO THIS!!!!

  10. Always remember, "Nothing taste as good as skinny feels" Something I learned at a ww meeting. I work in a hospital, today they had the entire break room full of snacks and goodies. I turned around and walked right back out. Then one of my friends/coworkers said," I'll go get you a donut if you want one, I wont tell anyone" I wanted it so bad. I told her no but thanks anyway That would only be cheating myself... You made the right choice! Hang in there!!!
  11. My doctor told me NO BREAD! He said I didn't need it anyway!

  18. Hey everyone! My surgery was 6 weeks ago and I've only lost 18 lbs. I know everyone is different, but just wondering where everyone else is/was at this point?
  19. Just stopping in to say I had my first fill! Surgery was 5 weeks ago. He put 4 cc's in without a problem. He got it on the first stick Nothing to be nervous about! I'm a crybaby, and this was a piece of cake
  20. I knew after about 2 minutes. It felt like something was stuck in my chest. I had this pain I can't even describe. Maybe like someone hitting you between your breast dead center(like with a fist) I went to the bathroom and it came out real fast. I felt relief right away. Oh and I don't get my first fill until Valentines day. I've always been a fast eater and I feel sure that had something to do with it!
  21. I got stuck for the first time today. They are right when they say DON'T drink to get it unstuck! I had to go throw it up. It hurt like hell!! I wasn't chewing right and I was eating to fast! I have got to slow down and chew chew chew! I'm still a work in progress
  22. I have five incisions as well. My port is on the right side, up about 2 inches above the bellybutton (over just a little to the right) I'm 16 dpo and eating regular food. So far everything is going well. I'm having a little issue with gas. I've never in my life been this gassy! lol My husband just laughs Best wishes to all of you!
  23. Well it was back to work for me today. My surgery was 15 days ago. I work in the OR and only get to sit down for my breaks. I did okay, but by the end of my shift I was ready to get off my feet. I came home and took a 2 hr nap. LOL! It's true everyday I feel more like myself
  24. Call your insurance company and give them the fax number to your Dr's office! You have to stay on them! Good Luck!!!
  25. I really started feeling better around day 10. The first week I stayed on the pain meds and slept a lot! Once I got off the meds and moving around, I started feeling like myself again! Hang in there, you will feel yourself in no time
  26. My surgery was 13 days ago and I'm feeling back to normal. I go back to work on Thursday! I get my first fill on Valentines day (funny huh)
  27. I also start work at 5am. I go back on Thursday (2 weeks po) I drink one cup of coffee on my way to work. I get my morning break around 7:45. I plan to eat then. If I get hungry before that time, I'm going to pack a protein bar
  28. YES! My mouth wants to eat, but my belly says NO WAY! 4dpo was my worst day so far (I'm post op day 6) I was starving!!! Today i'm more on track with the 1 cup sized meals three times a day I had grits for breakfast, tuna for lunch, and soup for dinner. I'm full, but my mouth wants something....
  29. I had to go home with a cath bag! My bladder didn't want to wake up. 5dpo i'm okay now. The bag is out! Yaaaaay!
