Hey there! Oh the pain from the gas is the worst. I was banded on Monday. Monday the gas pain was horrible couldn't feel the incisions, yesterday has pain was still pretty bad, started to feel pain in the incisions. Today I'm quite swollen but the gas pains are easing up!

Hey everyone. I finally have my surgery date on the 24th of June. Only a very few select people are going to know I have had the lapband put in.. Can anyone suggest another surgery that I could say I have as my work will have to know I'm going to hospital to get time off.. Thanks!

Haha yeh I sorta planted the seed at work today and said I may have to get survey for a hernia and they started asking more questions. Just made stuff up haha

I think I will use the hernia excuse to for work. Will need to research it a bit more before though as I have no idea what it is or why I would have it haha

Thanks so much for all your info guys!! I'm going to be covered by insurance so assuming mine may take a little longer than the cash ones I'm also in australia. Anyone here from down under and can give some input? X

Good on you Kimberley for begging your journey and being so strong! hot stuff! My Nanna would say exactly the same thing! She is always telling me just to accept the way I was made and be happy with it. I'm not happy! I since starting this topic have told my mum, who I never intended to tell and she was awesome about it and completely supported me. I don't plan on telling work, or my friends. I have told my best friend and my bf. that's it
