  6. My major goal right now is to run 5k in July. I'm up to running half a kilometer before I take a small break. Not bad at 286lbs
  7.    ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to a post in a topic: 6 days postop...only 2lbs down??!
  8. Relax! It'll come off. Just rest now. Or start walking more. At 6 days post op, I was on the treadmill walking. But do yourself a favor and don't worry about the weight loss the next few weeks. Follow your rules, and it'll come off. Don't worry.

  11. I'm 29 days post op and I have felt the same way. Especially since being on solids. But my first fill is in 2 weeks and I'm so excited

  14. I also had a hernia repair. I started walking an hour a day by day 6 post op. nothing aggressive, just walking. Bu day 10, I was working on the couch to 5k and interval jogging... I just think in the hours I've read on here, no surgeon has said no activity at all... Don't go lifting weights, but just move your awesome bod
  15. Not even walking?
  16. I think also there's a huge food grieving going on. For me, I realized my security blankie had been taken away. I wasn't able to excessively eat to calm myself anymore. I cried. And cried. And wondered what the hell I had done to myself. And cried. But it gets easier. I'm on day 27 post op and I feel great. I'm down 10 lbs since surgery. That's 2-3 average per week. And I'm able to run for 8-10 minutes at a time. It gets better. Hang in there.
  17. I was banded jan 25th. Down 30 since preop, 8 since surgery. Just starting solids to day.

  19. I'm 19 days post op.. I just compared. I'm amazed
  20. Also, low fat cream of chicken is awesome, but strain it. It has bits in it.
  21. The headache could be dehydration. Make sure you're drinking lots. Lots and lots and lots.
  22. Also.. Inches lost should be a huge factor. The scale may not show what your body is really upto...
  23. Ya. I melted off a bunch preop.. Had surgery and stalled... But it's about healing not weight loss.
  24. Only about 5 lbs since being banded 13 days ago.
  25. This actually made me tear up... Congrats
  26. I'm a side sleeper and was sleeping on my non-port side 2 days after surgery, with a pillow propped up against my back for support. It seemed with the pillow propping me, it wasnt so hard on my muscles. I'm on day 11 post op and I still can't sleep on the port side, but the other side is fine
