Surgery Scheduled for March
- Anyone from NYU Langone Weight Loss ?
I'm also in Staten Island, Oakwood. Would be great to have a meet up in the city sometime.- Surgery Scheduled for March
My Dr only took out 1cc, now I have 5cc. The 1 made a big difference, I drank the cup of water just fine. But now 4days out I'm not feeling any obvious restriction. I'm really stressed out and its making me not prepare for meal times so I'm snacking more and then I cannot keep track and I don't really know if I feel hunger or not. I'm eating healthy foods, no junk or sugary stuff. I guess the band will never really help with emotional eating problems. I eat way too fast and bigger bites than I'm supposed to. There is so much to learn! My Dr said you ate a certain way all your life, it's going to take time to learn this new way.- Does getting a fill hurt
Had an adjustment today, 6cc was too tight, I couldn't drink water without extreme pain. The Dr took out 1cc, and I felt instantly better. Had no pain, just a quick prick.- Surgery Scheduled for March
I hope you get a cancellation appointment. It's so hard isn't it? But once you get the fill it will get better! I just had an adjustment, the Dr took out 1cc & now I can drink liquids with no pain. Being too tight is horrible!!!!- Surgery Scheduled for March
- Does getting a fill hurt
I didn't feel a thing!!! I think the area is still numb from.surgery ?!- Does getting a fill hurt
I'm scared too, I have my first fill this week. I had 2 amino tests when I was pregnant and it was horrible! I felt the needle pierce through my skin and it hurt so bad! How long is the needle In for? I'm nit squeamish about getting shots or blood tests normally but this terrifies me for some reason.- what should I eat the day of my first fill?
I'm going for my first fill on Wednesday, I'm very excited because I'm getting hungrier every day now! I know I should do liquids day 1 then mushies the second day. My appointment is at 3pm, what should I eat that day, liquids? And what time should I eat lunch that day? I usually have a shake or smoothie for breakfast and some kind of fish with crackers or tomato salad for lunch.- eating disorders
How's it going? I'm struggling, I am feeling more and more hunger, my first fill is next week and I really need it, and hope it curbs my cravings. I just ate a lot of chocolate!!! I'm such an idiot!!!!- Surgery Scheduled for March
Glad to hear everyone is doing well! I was banded march 9th, I have lost 19lbs. I think I would have lost more but the last 3weeks I have felt less and less restriction, so I know I'm ready for my first fill on April 24th!!!!! Keep in touch guys!!!- Coconut Oil

I'm at 4weeks post op and last time I weighed myself last week I also was down 20lbs. Pretty exciting ! But I have found my hunger has increased ferociously the last few days. I used to be satisfied or even too full with 2:5oz tuna with 2 wheat thins, now I'm hungry 1 hour later for more. I have to wait 3 weeks till I get a fill. 60lbs to goal weight!!!!!!
