100 Miles in January 2013 Challenge

The cold can make us want to stay in bed. WE ALL KNOW, we need to keep moving. What better way than a movement challenge.

I am starting a January challenge to walk/run 100 miles in January (60k) Log in your miles each Saturday of January.

For those of you wondering, that means TOMORROW it starts..

Who can hear the Rocky theme song in their ears right now? If not, what song will be your January motivation?

Jump in all!

The miles are meant for walking, jogging, running, hopping, skipping anything you can do on your own. However, if you cannot and must ride then have at it! just please post what method you used if other than only your legs.

I'm in too. Cheryl I have those tapes and I'll be walking with you!! I need this motivation!

What an awesome idea!!! I'm in!

Got it! Anyway you want to my dear is fine by me!

I'm in! This is something I deffinatly need now, after the holidays.

Wow, what a great idea. Guess I need to get out of bed and start before work today. This will get me back on the treadmill. Thank you for the idea and the help. Wishing you all a healthy, happy New Year. We need to walk about 3.5 miles a day. I plan to bulk up on my miles on the weekends when the demands of life are less.

OOOO Im in...I so need this...

Thanks for getting us motivated Hun....

Im gonna go start right now !!!

Count me in too! I've been reading posts on this site for a while, but this is the first time I've decided to participate. I was banded on 12/21. This will be great way to stay motivated! Can't wait to see everyone's success!

Wow! 100 miles ! I'll admit I don't think I can hit that this time of year . Last time I did, it was 110 miles run/hike/walk in July . It's easier for me in the summer, I teach and am off work then. Now I am lucky to get about 12-13 miles/week in on runs and since it's snowshoe season, we end up doing half the distance (of what we.usually hike weekly) yet work just as hard.

But I am inspired to work on some my kind of distance goal! I'll have to look at my winter average last year and try to beat my highest.

I agree! When I was training for a marathon I would do 14-18 miles on Saturdays. Today is my day off so I'm gonna do 6. Thanks for joining!
