  1. Hey I am an Aug 1st bander in KY! I was originally going to be banded in Dec, but just got moved up to Aug. Long story, but with a lower BMI and having passed my sleep study I am now self pay. My husband and I decided to pull money out from our 401k and invest in my health. I am excited to meet other Aug bander!
  2. It was an initial sleep study. You do bring up an interesting point. I hope someone can answer you question. It is amazing how complicated it can be to jump through all of the hoops in order to get healthy!
  3. No sleep apnea! I suppose I should be happy, but I'm disappointed in the fact that it makes the journey more complicated or maybe impossible that insurance will pay. I need to call the Bariatric office on Monday. Any creative suggestions?
  4. Yes, I snore. I find our the results of my sleep study today. I will post what I find out.
  5. My BMI is 35 so I need a co-morbidity condition to be qualified to be banded. Sleep apnea qualifies. My husband "diagnosed" me months ago! Lol! It's hard to be patient when I am reading about everyone's success. It is reassuring to hear of all the different weightless journeys. Where are you located? It's unfortunate that you need to wait so long for all of you initial consultations. Take care my friend
  6. Tomorrow I have an appt to find the results of my sleep study, sleep apnea = insurance pays, no sleep apnea = I pay. I also have my 2nd dietician appt tomorrow. Thanks for heads up about the water weight equivalent!
