Ending The Year With A New Me!

Getting banded December 17th. 9 days before my 49th birthday. For years and years all I ever wanted for Christmas or my birthday was to be smaller. I was given a healthy body that I have slowly and steadily ruined with food. I have been blessed with a second chance to undo the damage.

Please wish me luck.

Chez and Mads, you guys are just what the doctor ordered.

Thank you for all the positive vibes to date, and I know you'll help me.

Can't say that to many people in my real world.

Just remember you are doing this for you, no one else. If the ppl in your real world doesn't support you, it doesn't matter. This is your time!!!! I know you do a lot for others, now it's time to take care of you!

Woohoo, we're going to rock it! I'm so excited, I just can't hide it........

.....I'm about to GET control and I just can't hide it!!

Now now my dear cg, your importance can't be expressed by mere words.you are the sunshine on a cloudy day, you are the wind beneath my wings, You are my shining star, etc etc etc ( phew, that was quick thinking)

Banjo, it's all about a new YOU. YOU will do the pain, suffering and disappointments from the surgery and band or whatever type you do. BUT, you have pain already and maybe starting health issues right now. YOU are doing the right thing in getting control of your body and maybe some positive health. The band is NO guareentee, but its one of the best tools out there to help us eat less. WE still have too make all the correct choices when we do eat.

I'm so happy for you because you have been thinking about this for sometime and for whatever reason, now is the time for this to happen. I'm sure you will do great after surgery as we all our doing. It will be one step forward each day for the rest of your life.

Congratulations and Best Wishes for your new YOU. YOU will enjoy your new Body! HUgs

Gee Banjo every time I see this thread I get so excited for you! Just think you are starting out as a princess how can you possibly fail! Love you girl! We will be out here December 17th thinking only of you! Post when you can!

I'm 64 1/2 and I will be banded on Dec 10th....it's never too late. I know we can follow the rules and create a healthy life....God spend, stay positive, as I do plan to as well. Rem we are not alone.

Hooray !!!!! ;) Effie
