The November 'band'wagon!

On June 14th I met with the doctor and began the journey of testing and evaluations. This coming Wednesday I will (hopefully) have my meeting to review my sleep study results and receive my final green light of clearance!

I am praying all goes well and that Amerihealth Insurance doesn't deny me after all these months of testing and anticipation.

I think a little puree turkey will do just fine this year for Thanksgiving… here's to crossed fingers for a November banding!!

Anyone else in the same boat? :D

No date yet but I got cleared by my nutritionist and psychologist to be banded. Meeting with my surgeon on October 15 for final approval for November! I cannot wait! I keep telling myself that it's one thanksgiving of soft foods and its going to be soo worth it!

November 16th is my date!!! So nervous!! Can't wait though!!!

I'm Nov 16 as well. I was supposed to have it done 7 Sep but it was rescheduled. I am so anxious and can't wait. Must admit I am a tad nervous!

I was supposed to be banded at the end of July but got denied by insurance, so started the whole process over again. I have my final appt on Oct. 10th I'm hoping to be a November bandster! Fingers crossed!!!

Yay 16 Nov. I have the same thing in my right shoulder and both knees! Lets hope this helps.

I'm early November and can't wait to get the show on the road! I have to get the routine pre open testing, and I'm good to go! (Lord willing!) I am getting excited because it has been quite the journey to get to this point. I am already cutting back and excercising. I'm ready for this lifestyle change!

So what is everyone doing for their pre-op diet? It sounds like different docs advise different routines, but most boil down to Protein drinks, low/no sugar and carbs, and about 800-1200 cal. per day.

I think I will need to write myself out a schedule. I seem to do well in the day, but mess us in the evening at home. Ugh! Better planning needs to be done on my part!

My pre-op diet is pretty much the same. 1,000 calories. I'm allowed 8oz of lean protein and some fruits and veggies. Luckily my nutritionist is all about eating real foods so the shakes aren't as vital in the pre-op diet she gives. T

Tenatively scheduled for the first week of November. I am a cash patient so I don't have all these obsticles others have with insurance.

I am scared and excited. Good luck to all other November banders!

Good luck!! I finished all of the pre-op testing in September & got my PCP's approval today!! I have to meet with the nutritionist on the 10th of October and meet with the surgeon on the 24th so hopefully I can be banded in November... :D!!
