  2. Thanks!!! I needed to read this as well!!
  3. You look great and you can do it!!!! Dude that's how I feel is what you went through. I was banded on nov 16th and have lost 40lbs and feel like I've hit a wall. Get another fill tomorrow and hoping it will help!!
  4. It's because you are not getting at least 60 grams of protein a day. Eat more protein or shakes and it will stop. Promise.
  5. Miss73 is correct! Focus on staying hydrated. Protein will come later.
  6. Very normal. With the band you are only suppose to lose 4-8 lbs a month. It goes fast at first and slows down. It is better slow, therefor our skin has time to shrink as well instead of having baggy skin.
  7. I was banded Nov. 16th and I have been hitting a plateau. Losing very very slow. I really need to make better choices and work out more. I'm sure if I ate a little better it would start to come off. I get my next fill tomorrow and hope I can lose 6 lbs this next month!!
  8. I love the chocolate premier protein shakes!! Get mine at Costco.
  9. Only decaf at first, later on you can have caffeinated. The only toting is caffeinated makes you hungry.
  10. My doc and all of the staff are so nice and there to help!! My doctor has had lap band for 10 years. I had my post op appointment where I saw 2 nurses. As I was leaving my doc saw my husband and asked how I was doing. So I turned the corner and said I was doing great and he high fives me and have me a hug and said I'm so happy to hear that!! They explain everything so well and are there to answer any questions I have. I'm pretty sure my doc does my first fill and I have to do a class before, then nurses do fills after that. They do group meetings every Tuesday. I'm self pay and I get all first year fills with the $9,900 for surgery. I'm happy as could be with my Doctor!!!
  11. Me too please!!! Annaozee@gmail.com:) Thanks!!!
  12. I have RA as well and my doc said they haven't don't any studies on NSAID drugs, that's why they don't want you to take them. However he has been doing lap band over 10 years and has seen no problems with them and said I could take my Etodolac. I'm still going to talk to my RA doc to see if there is any thing else I can take to make me feel more comfortable. My doc has had lap band himself for 10 years.
  13. Congrats!! Take meds now!! Don't wait!! You should have enough for a couple of days right?
  14. Your not even suppose to worry about weight loss while your healing. You have a 4-6 wk for healing. Don't focus on your weight loss yet, it will come. Like they said above also told by my doc, you normally lose 1-2 lbs a week. Your doing great!!!
  15. Ritaroo and I had the same pre op diet and same doc. So how are you doing?
  16. I told my husband that I'm going for a massage as soon as I can!
  17. Mine does!! Pretty sure it's normal. I'm just using the heating pad.
  18. I'm so doing that!!! Thank you!!! Sounds so yummy!
