Not Impressed
I suppose it does get easier. It has become routine for me. Just frustrating that I'm now consuming shakes for 5 extra weeks. I miss the taste of food but i dont crave it. The weight continues to drop anyway. Good luck with your journey. Tks for the support!

Appreciate the support. I guess I felt it was a kick in the teeth seeing as I'm already down 18 lbs. I suppose with another 5 weeks I can look at that as a challenge and see how much more I can drop!

Not Impressed
So as I previously mentioned my surgery date was 7 Sept. I have already been on protein shakes for 3 weeks. Just advised today my new date is 5 Oct due to circumsatances out of my control. Then my Dr looked at me and said protein shakes for another 5 weeks, and nothing else. 2 months worth of pre-op diet. By the time my surgery date comes not sure if I will even want it anymore! It seemed as if my Dr didn't understand when I told him that I was psychologically prepared for Sept! Seems to think this is no big deal! Not a happy camper today.

I have found a protein shake which is not too bad. But would I ever like some fresh fruit!

I have had a couple of cucumbers and other raw veggies over the past 10 days. I have had 2 salads with just greens and a tablespoon of dressing. Oh... And I cheated once and had a very small bowl of spaghetti sauce, NO pasta though! Finding it tough.

New To The Group
Greetings to all. I have followed many discussions for a few weeks now. Finally decided to join. My surgery date is 07 Sep. a tad concerned seeing as my Dr advised me to start protein shakes 2 weeks ago. I started 10 days ago and have lost 17 pounds. It has been tough and I truly miss real food. Seems no one here is on protein diet for this long a time?
