  2. Had surgery in November, first fill was in January. Scheduled to go get another one Tuesday but scared didn't want to get anymore. I currently have restrictions but I have noticed I can eat a little more, but I'm scared to get one because right now I don't have problems with eating, drinking are anything. No pb, I can eat and drink normal. My hubby and mom think I need to get one they are saying that was the whole purpose of surgery. What do you guys think?
  3. What you said is so true. If I do it this way I will be hurting myself more than helping. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

  5. No buzzkill, but it is possible depending on what you do. If on weight watchers you can lose 2-3 a week I know I can do 4-5. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

  7. How is the leak repaired? I guess in my mind I think of all kind of stuff happening and was thinking I would feel the leak. Lol
  8. Thanks that is exactly when I feel it. When I wear my tight jeans. I wear them much more now since the weight is dropping. Lol
  9. Does anybody ever feel as if their band is sticking them? Sometimes when I cough my band will hurt is this normal? I was banded 9/5/12. Also, sometimes it feel like it hurt or sticks me when I wear my jeans that most of the time are tighter on my stomach than my wrk pants. Sometimes it happen with my work pants also but only when maybe I've eaten a tad too much, I hardly ever overeat I've never had a Bp, thrown up or anything, by the grace of god I've had a great 4 mths of being banded.
  10. Finally got a new bill and everything was corrected. I don't owe anything. Glad they resolved that. Because it was going to be very hard trying to get that kind of money out of me.
  11. It is all wonderful. Had my first fill on 12/7 and the nurse I saw was super nice very informative. Didn't rush me or nothing. Had a great visit Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  12. I guess I will wait till a actual bill come because what I received was my EOB from my insurance company letting me know how much I am responsible for. Glad to know I'm not alone in this being a cash pay patient
  13. Yea the bill came from my insurance company it was my EOB. So I haven't been contacted my the hospital. But no I did not check to see out the out of area I did receive an approval from the insurance company showing they had approved for the dr to do my EGD. So I assumed they had prior authorization before they preformed the surgery. Yes I have what I was supposed to pay already paid it with my care credit card so my surgery has been paid for already.
  14. Okay, I was self pay but my doctor checked me for a hernia and I had one. So since I had one the surgery was almost half the price because they were going to bill the insurance for the anesthesia, hernia repair, and I am paying for the band. Well surgery went great last week I received a bill for 48l. My insurance said not paying because the doctor was not in my network. First I'm concerned because without the hernia my surgery was gonna be 10k with the hernia it is 5,500. Where in the heck did 47k come from and who do they expect to pay it?????!
  15. How was your first fill?
