I will be getting banded on 10/5 and wanted to hear others short term goals (up to a year post op). My starting weight is 215, I've been on the pre op diet for 6 days, and am incredibly nervous and joyous at the same time! Let's hear your goals!

Short term for me: lose 45 lbs by 6 months post op, be able to tie my shoes without any hassle, get my chin back (no more face that turns into a neck), become less tired throughout the day, and to fit into a size 14. I would love to shop at Forever 21 and get "regular sized clothes", but let's be honest, that's more a long term goal!

My goals are 1) to not bust out sweating just walking across the room at my job, 2)for my knees, hips & feet to finally stop hurting and 3) to not always be the fattest person in the room!

I have had a lot of short term goals. For me, it's the only way to do this and stay on track without being totally overwhelmed by the enormity of it all.

My first goal was to get out of the 400's. My next was to hit the 50 pound loss, then 100 pound loss, then get out of the 300's.

My current goal is to hit the 150 pound loss mark, which I am 4 pounds from reaching.

I, like Missy, have had many short term goals. It's the best way to approach this journey. It can be overwelming when you start and look at how much you want to loose and how long it will take.

My current goal is to fit in a size 12. Going shopping this weekend, not sure I'm there yet, but I'm close. Fingures crossed.

To get under 300 lbs

To fit in an airline seat without over hang

To get under 250 lbs

To get under 200

To fit in a size 14

To fit in size 10 pants

To be 150 lbs. I am 18 lbs away. I am in the 10s as i am a tall girl. My husband says I am done...but I need to get to that number ....for me. And size 8s won't hurt my feelings.

lol that really is a good one.

I would love to lose at least 28 more lbs by New Years so I can make it to the 250 mark.

Also would be great if my feet didn't kill me after work.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
