I am now banded (3rd June) i have 5 wounds but only 1 is giving me pain' date=' it also bled a little last night but seems fine today, going to keep my eye on in. I was glued back together which i.o not too keen on.

I have drank peppermint tea, had warm bags on my chest and try and walk around a little to get shed of the gas pain, it.s slowly going :)

Not looking forward to injecting myself today but it.s got to be done :s[/quote']

Is it the blood thinner shot in the belly? It's not bad at all and I hate needles. When I had knee replacement my daughter did them for me they are quick and easy.

Definitely more pain day two. All of my joints are sore.

I was banded on the 4th as well and my pain originates at the main incision site. Luckily I have no gas pain.

my surgery is June 13, woohoo. I'm on day 6 of liquid diet, been tough. had a couple of day in between where I almost passed out and had to eat a protein bar, okayed by my doctor. Wasn't getting enough calories. Ready for this journey to begin!!! good luck to all.

Good Morning June Bandsters!

I just got confirmation from the Dr's office and my Renaissance Day is June 19th!

I go for pre-op with the Dr. on Thursday this week, and then at the hospital on Monday the 11th. I'm excited and kinda nervous. For those of you already banded, what has been your down time from work?

This is my first post. I start my pre opp diet on saturday, and my surgery is on june 29 in toronto, canada. I am exicted and nerves all in one but i know i can do it with the help of my husband and my family. I have to do a pre opp diet for three weeks. i have three protein shakes a day and low calarie veggies. I was told it is to try to get ride of up to 25% of fat in your liver to make the surgery safer.

Blackleopard, do you live in the Toronto area or are you flying down? Where are you be being banded. Sorry about the 20 questions, I'm just excited to see someone getting banded in Toronto. I am being banded June 22nd at Slimband.

My liquid diet is only for two days as well. It may be for lower BMI's? I'm not sure though...possibly Doctor's preference. But my liquid diet after surgery is for 2 weeks. My surgery is on the 7th!!

OK so the hospital just called I have to be there at 515 in the morning.....ahhh nervous now.

Sometimes nervous is good. It's good energy. Look at it this way, tomorrow is your "birth"day. You get a chance to start over and do it right this time. Good Luck and Congrats!

Good luck to all of you...

I was banded on June 1st and I am already feel great today.. the toughest day was the second day at night but after that I almost back to normal... I even start feel hungry but I am stick with the liquid diet to give my stomach time to heal... I am already down more than 14 pounds 10 pounds pre ops diest and 4 post ops...

The more you are able to move, the quicker the soreness will go away. My surgery is June 13th so I will be joining the ranks soon!

Good luck to all!!!

I am right with ya MissKitty :) how are you doing on pre-op?

Ohhh, I didn't know we have to give ourselves shots of blood thinners... not looking forward to that (blah)
