  3. Thanks so much for sharing this. I just got done reading it - wow - we should all read that once a month to reminder ourselves.
  4. Could I ask a question. How far were you in you goals when you had surgery? I was banded 6/15, so I am a long way from goal. This has been one of my fears is I will have to have plastic surgery.
  5. Mashed Potatoes, Sugar Free Pudding, Sugar Free Jello, Creamy soups, cottage cheese. That is a few.

  9. Great article. Also good reminding us why we started this journey and the commitment we made. Thank you
  10. I am so glad others have had this. I lost total of20 lbs. My surgery was 6/15 and most of the loss was preop. But my pants size has gone from 24 to 20. I'll take it.
  11. Same here, but I was told ahead of time where the they would be.
  12. I had mine on the June 15th. And everything you described, I went thru. You did not make a mistake. Walking the absolute best suggestions. Every hour while I was awake even if I woke up in the middle the night I walked 5 min. Talk it (type it) out here....so much support.
  13. I am lb75081 ... Great Idea
  14. Stop...breathe..refocus.....Remember even if the Dr says he wants to wait, he is putting your safety first. That is an awesome Dr. The better health your in at the time surgery probably also helps your recovery. Come here often and receive the support to get you thru this hurdle. Hugs
  15. Congrats. Try to be patient, listen to your body, and walk...and walk...SIP..sip. That was the best relief of the gas pains and a heating pad on my back by rib cage. Visit often this place is awesome.
  16. I am 3rd week preop and I am letting it happen naturally. Feel safer that way. Most of them are gone.
  17. You are SO normal. That happens even with other surgeries. My brother had a different surgery a few weeks before I was banded. He and I were chatting and I told him about me little mini pity parties and he told me about his. Made me feel better hope it makes you feel better. You are doing just fine .
  18. I am soooo sorry you had to go through that - I can't even imagine if they wanted to touch me after surgery last Friday. My understanding from my doctor is that you don't necessarily "feel full" but satisfied. You may want to just check with your doctor. Best of luck to you.
  19. Does it feel tight in your esophagus when you are swallowing your food? It feels tight to me, everything goes down.
  20. I had my surgery Friday the 15th. Two days ago I started getting heartbearn. My chest still feels a little tight. I called the dr yesterday and he said to take my zantac and then lets see in another day. He may need to let some of the saline out, because he puts some in when he does the surgery. I'm now scared.
  21. Congrats on 80 lbs! That is awesome.
  22. I have run across in the past when I have lost weight, some people are afraid to say anything because they don't want to offend. So maybe they are noticing and just afraid to comment.
