  1. Hi everyone, I just want to let me sad feelings out. I just had my first fill on Monday and instead of losing weight I am gaining weight. I know it is a tool to help us lose weight but it's like I don't even have the band because I can eat anything. The purpose of the band was to help me by restricting me right? I have a 14cc band and barely have 2cc filled. I know I have to be patient but I get so hungry. I try being on a diet but that was my problem before the band, feeling very hungry and so I would just go ahead and eat anything and broke my diet. I just don't want to gain more weight
  2. I am just so tired of protein shakes and I really don't know what else to eat. Everything I eat gets me fat, even the food that is "healthy". Where am I so wrong?
  3. Mis73, yes I was following dr's orders till I noticed I can eat anything really. The hunger was so much I gave in. I started solids last week when I was suppose to start soft foods yesterday.
  4. I feel as if I am never going to be thin
  5. Hi everyone! I got banded 6/20/12 and I had lost 19 pounds already but I already gained 5 back because I can eat anything. I feel horrible! I know the band is just a tool to help but I don't have any restriction whatsoever. I am getting so discouraged.
  6. I was banded on 6/18/12 and my first fill is also on 7/16. I also have gained 3 lbs from the 20 I had lost. I can eat anything and of course definitely no restriction whatsoever. I am glad I read all the previous posts and really hope I lose more weight after the fills. I feel like the band is not even there.
  7. Oh my goodness, as my incisions are healing, the itching gets worse. Does anybody know what helps the itching, because it is driving me crazy!!! Please help
  8. Oh my goodness, my incisions are all red and hurt. It looks like a couple of them even have puss (I hope I spelled it right) What I am doing is putting Neosporin on them. Should I be more concerned?
  9. Awesome! Reading all this is really motivating because I am in my what the heck did I do stage right now. I just got banded Monday 6/18 but too small and had to get it swapped to a bigger band on Wednesday 6/20 so I feel horrible Congrats!!!
  10. Is it true that we lose our hair? I just got my band on Monday. What should I expect? Also, I feel so hungry, what are good protein liquids or other liquids I can have to help the hunger? Please help!
  11. I just got my band on Monday and I felt just the way you did. It was horrible! I went back on Wednesday and ended up being that my band was too small and closed up completely. I couldn't keep liquids down either so I went through surgery again and feel much better. If you can not keep anything down you should go to the hospital. I was told that Tuesday night but I waited to go see the dr on Wednesday. I know the chest pain is bad and not keeping anything down is not healthy. Don't wait too long. Good luck!
  12. Thank you all for your comments and support. Together we can do this
  13. Hi everyone! I just got my band on Monday 6/18/12 but I already went through a bad experience. On Tuesday, I felt that I was going to die because I had a bad chest pain and then started vomitting. I vomitted all day Tuesday so called Dr and was told to go back for a check up. Well the problem was that the band was too small and completely shut so I had to go through surgery on Wed 6/20/12 again to get a larger band. I do feel much better but now I feel as if it is not tight enough because I don't feel full. Is that normal?
