How do you fit a lifetime in here? Pretty much that's what it would take. I've been overweight since like the second grade. I was easiliy the largest child in all of my classes in grade school and by highschool I was 300lbs. By the time I was 23 I had moved out of my parents house, had been on phen phen for a while and dropped 75lbs. Between then and now I've been bouncing back and forth between weights. Back up to 250, back down too 230, back up to 250 then back down too 200. Currently I'm 230 and have been this size for about 4 years now. I carry a lot of muscle (thank you lord) so I'm only about a size 14 but in the past 5 years I've become type two diabetic. I've tried every diet know to man. Medifast, Nutrisystem, Wonderslim, Atkins, low fat, low carb, stacker two and all of them more than twice. Some of them as many as 5 times. I considered gastric bybass when it first came out however I'm sincerely glad that I waited for the lap band. Much less invasive and certainly more appropriate and safe for my size and the amount that I need to lose. However when it really comes down to it I'm doing this in hopes to eliminate my type two diabetes. The genetics in my family suck to say the least and my father is looking at having his second below the knee amputation. I've taken better care of myself than he has but I want my future to be the best it can be. These days every joint in my body hurts, especially my hips. I've been a pretty active person for the past five years. I've power walked, stairmastered and done a plethera of other things but lately I don't feel like doing anything because of the joint pain. I'm excited to move on with my life and while I'm scared about the actual surgery and anesthesia, I'm not afraid of doing the work. My bf and I would love to have a baby and I feel like my weight is definitly contributing to me not being pregnant yet. Soooooo here I go............
