Had my first fill last week I'm at 5 cc banded 3/5/12.... I joined my fitness place and according to eat I'm not eating enough to loose the weight . It doest take into account that I've got the band... So I don't feel like eating any more and if you exercise you have even more calories to eat..... Started at 236, been stuck at 218 for the last 2 weeks. What am I doing wrong or do I just want faster results!

im finding it hard to get my calorie requirements in also. ive had a couple of slices of cheese to bring it all up some days. i agree... with the band we are just not able to eat as the program tells us we should... not much we can do about that one. More Protein? ? perhaps thats the way to go.

Hi everyone...

I had my surgery 3/12/12 and my first fill on 4/10/12. Fill went great and incisions are healing really well. A couple of things I did learn were:

1. Eat on a saucer plate.

2. Eat Proteins first because once you start feeling your restriction' date=' it gets harder and harder for more food.< /p>

3. My hiccups at each meal are because I'm eating too fast.

4. Watch out for broccoli because it can give gas and be uncomfortable.

5. Milk should be soy due to added sugars in the others even fat free skim.

6. Wait 45 seconds between each bite. (Haven't been doing well on this one.)

They gave me a progression chart of weight. For the first three months-want me to try and lose 8-9 lbs. Each of those three months. After that, it will be more difficult the smaller you get. They showed my plan for reaching my goal weight in 24 months.

True Results requires a visit every 4 weeks for the first year to check on my progress.[/quote']

Thanks so much for posting these tips. I went through true results too but I don't get nearly this much info. I had my band done one 3/23 but still have not had a full yet because I had 4cc put in it at the time of surgery. I did get the progression chart though as a guide.

Very rarely do I eat all my calories that MFP gives me. Only thing I watch is my carbs and my Protein. I was told to have between 60-80g of protein a day so thats what I aim for..

I thought this journey would be easy. It's not kinda upsetting, I'm frustrated, haven't had a fill yet and my weight is at a stand still. I hope it gets better. My first fill is May 15. Hope it works for me.

Ok I was banded on3-23 first fill 4-20 I thought I had restriction but Im not really sure what it feels like. I feel pain in the back of my throat and feel like im going to throw up but that feeling passes and then Im hungry again :( . I have been extremely stressed lately and im not sure if that has something to do with it. Some days I have no restriction at all and some days I have alot of restriction. Im so confused! I was doing so good. I watch my calories even went i went out to eat(mexican) i ask for the nutrition chart so I could figure out my calories (they looked at me crazy and probably were talking about me lol) but i didn't care. I really dnt eat to much becasue im afraid. I also still drink2-3 Protein Shakes a day. Im kinda lost and very stressed out and now hungry.

I woke up this morning sick went to the dr and I have an upper respiratory infection and a sinus infection=miserable. So on top of everything else now Im sick and feel like crap and no energy.

Any advice, wisdom or help would be much appreciated not doing to good over here....

nicole, so you are stressed, hungry and sick? You poor thing! I'm so sorry things have been like that for you. I was banded on 3-6, I have had one fill and felt restriction for about 2 days and I have had to cancel my appt. for my second fill 2 times! Can you call your doctor and make an appt, for another fill? Or maybe just tell them you don't feel restriction all day. If I take too big of bites, or eat too fast, I can feel it, but at night, I have practically no restricton and am just trying to stick to my 1200 cals a day until I get another fill.

Hang in there dear! Call your doctor! and take your medicine!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
