Dr. Carcamo was my third attempt to get the lap band surgery. The previous Doctors refused to do the lap band due to my BMI is over 50. One wanted me to do Gastric Sleeve. He said that I would not be considered a success with the lap band b/c I would not lose enough weight in the first year to be considered healthy. The second wouldn't touch me b/c of BMI is greater than 50. She said I had to lose 20 pounds before they would even see me.
