I sat down in a Recliner, and instinctively went to Cross my Legs. They CROSSED !

I have not done that in years !

Guess I got some catching up to do.

I am able to wear clothes I haven't worn since 2008 when I quit smoking and gained 58lbs.The clothes actually look like they are a little loose for me and they are 2x.I wore a 3x before I started my journey.I have lost 34 lbs.

I also very recently had a plateau breakthrough by reassessing my diet and eating only lean meat (chicken) steamed veggies (organic) and oranic fruit plus salad/raw spinach (oragnic) without dressings.< /p>

I think I was eating too many soft slider foods but now that I am clear for real foods I am adjusting what I eat yet again.I have only had 1 small .5cc fill and I get another fill Friday November 11th,which will be a larger fill like a 1.0 cc hopefully!

Congrats ! Chubbywithmuscles... That's a big one..

Better to see the clothing size go down then the scale (I THINK) Then you see the difference.

We have a clothing site on the Forum if your interested in the future of getting rid of those cloths that will never fit you again.

Believe it ! No matter what size you are someone is always trying to get down to wear you started from.

I'm down to a 20 in Jeans, and most women are starting around this size. I was up to a 5x. So every little bit helps.

I just tell them to pay the shipping, and it's yours. No regrets or looking back. Just to let you know. :tea:

Doesn't that feel wonderful ! I did the same thing. I have cloths in my closet that are 14-16, and I haven't worn them in years. I'm looking for next summer, because they are cute summer cloths.

I'm wearing a 20 in Jeans now, But I have a bag full of 18s where the tags are still on them.. I am about to trip over my Tongue ! I can't wait to get into that size, But 1 step at a time right !

Got told by my coworkers, that I looked "slammin" in my size LARGE dress yesterday. This time last year it was a 2x. Ring size is down from a 7 3/4 to a 6. Also had 2 teenage Wendy's workers, come to the drive thru to check me out....I am old enough to be their mother. Best ego boost!!

I can't think of any new NSVs for me lately. Many of the same old ones keep happening and I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. :) I do love reading everyone else's NSVs though. It helps me stay motivated and makes me happy for everyone.

I had a medical NSV this week. A1C went from 7.4 in June (Pre-surgery) to 5.8 in October. According to my lab report 5.7 and lower is normal. Good bye Diabetes.

I finally hit the teens again! Bought a pair of Silvers in an 18 :). I'm pretty sure I made my last clothing trip to Lane Bryant, everything I bought was a 14/16! I got in a size 16 skirt! Last but not least I fit into fit into a size large dress I bought back in July for my upcoming trip to Las Vegas!

We order shirts every year at work to represent our school. Instincitvely, I grabbed the 2X to try on....way too big. Then the XL again too big....I finally can wear a shirt without an X in front of it!

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
