I thought it was just me, With my weight loss I purchased new uplifting bras that really support my girls and I noticed that it does make a difference in my eating/drinking. it can be quite uncomfortable.

Interesting, but I think that I have the same problem. Make sure you don't slouch, either, because that causes an uncomfortable feeling around the stomach, too. Good to know about the bra thing, too. Karen

I had Lap Band surgery over a year ago and ' date='during that surgery, I had my hiatal hernia repaired. I haven't had a fill for a while because I've felt that my restriction was more than adequate. However, I have noticed that, even while drinking my Protein shakes, I will get that stuck feeling, almost as if I had an air bubble trapped that I couldn't burp out. This feeling rarely happens when I have a bra on. Yesterday, this happened so bad that I ended up BPing (vomiting?) off and on for about 5 hours. Is it possible that my hernia has returned? Or is this a sign of a slipped band or something?[/quote']

I couldn't wear my bra for two Weeks after my surgery. It made me very nauseated. I wore a sports bra.

My port is right in the center of my stomach at the top of my stomach muscle and I wear wired bras. I think maybe just the pushing against that muscle want good so soon.

When food gets stuck or won't pass easily, I immediately want to take my bra off. I don't know if it has anything to do with a hernia (I've had two repaired) since for me it's definitely related to trouble with food passing through the band.

LOL. I'm so glad that I found this post. I've started having problems with theis recently. I tried explaining it to my surgeon who looked at me like I had 3 heads. I'v had the same underwire bras for a while now and I have lost weight - so maybe that's the reason. If I pull the straps up very high, the wires sit differently and there is relief - even better if it is off. You can try buying the bra extenders - usually in the maternity section. It loosens things and moves the wires a bit. It seems to help me a some.

Best of luck!

Wow I'm glad I read this. I've been having the same issue. Some days are worse. I sit at a desk all day and it really bothers my port area. I need to learn to sit straight. Thanks ladies!

Shady - ditto here. I slouch sitting at my desk and it does put pressure in my port. I've been paying a lot more attention to my posture lately too!

I can't eat with a bra on PERIOD & what's really curious is that my bra isn't holding up anything real...I had double mastectomies about two years following my surgery, so I'm wearing a prosthetic bra. First time I had the "back up" was just after surgery. I was fitted with a compression bra and could even get yogurt down!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
