My first infertility APT sucked! (Long)

Recommended Posts

Dear Rica,

I totally agree with Afterglow, clerks like the one you met need to be removed from their positions. On a brighter note I wanted to introduce myself and let you know that 3 of my 4 miracles were AI babies and true miracles. Your babies are just waiting to make an entrance. I'll send up a prayer for you and yours. Hugs,

Rica,

I am so sorry. My DH and I have been through this for 23 years now. We are now in the process of adopting a 9 year old little boy named Josh. Don't ever give up hope. God has a way of working even when we don't think He is.

Sending prayers and hugs your way.

Rica -

I've run through the infertility gauntlet myself. I was fine, but my husband, much like yours, was essentially sterile.

We tried artificial insemination with donor sperm, and when that didn't work, we went the adoption route. Adoption was not without it's trials and tribulations (we had a birth mother back out after we had supported her financially for 4 months) but in the end, we got the baby who was meant for us. That 'baby' is 17 years old now and a spoiled rotten terror :) who I love with all my heart and soul. I wouldn't have missed one minute of my life with him.

Adoption is great way to build a family, if you have some time, patience and financial backing to see the process through.

Good Luck - you're going to be a great mom.

men always feel compelled to "fix things" and when they can't it hurts them terribly and me do not deal well with that.

I went through alot of infertility stuff and it is not worth it.

I will pray for you and hope that you find peace.

take care - nancy

Nancy,

You are right my hubbie is a fix it kind of guy... SO I know he will do everything in his power to make me happy. I just wish it were me. I would do a doner egg in a hot second. But I realize that I would still feel conected through the pregnancy... I am still hopeful that he will change his mind. ...Oh and as far as adoption... We will begin our home study as soon as I can get through the beging of the news.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
