I lost 22 pounds on my two week "very low carb" pre-surgical diet.

I was banded on 11/1/2010, and I've lost another 25 pounds since then.

Total 47 pounds down---already just over one third of what I need to lose for my goal! :D

Thank you for that! I needed that I'm sitting here going through the threads and your right, all the weights are SO different. Its amazing. I'm doing better now, I realize its not a race but a battle we all are dealing with our weight. I see all the weight you have lost so Congratulations to you and Your recent surgery. I'm not trying to give you a hard time you just got in my feelings. I'm gonna learn to acknowledge all my acheivements even if I have no weight loss or vice versa. Everything I do with trying to get my life back I will be happy.thank you for letting me see that. This site has been an extreme help in my journey and I listen to ALL of you that have been banded for a while. So with that thank you! Everyone is such an inspiritation, especially to me, to let me know I'm not alone. Dee

Congrats on your 15 lbs.. To reiterate what others have said. Look for the positive..15 lbs,WOW!!!! that is great..

Please dont judge your weight loss by what others post or dont post. We all come in at different starting weights and metabolisms.. so any loss is GREAT, whether large or small.

Everyone is thier own worse critic and in many ways I think it causes us to not forgive ourselves when we make a mistake. Hence probably why we got where we are.

The goal is, get past the mistake and do better the next week. I am sure you will continue to lose the weight as you go thru the journey.

Lorraine

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
