I was banded in Oct. From July-Oct, I lost 38 (pre-band), from November until now, I've lost another 46 pounds (so 84 pounds in the last 8 months).

You can do it - just focus and do what your doctor tells you :smile2:

I had surgery on 11/19/09, so about 4 months ago. I have lost 54 pounds with relative ease. I am loving my band. just listen to it and your Dr and im sure you will do fine!!

Since my surgery on December 17, 2009, I've lost 45lbs. No real restriction yet, but as long as the scale keeps moving down, things are great. Like someone else mentioned, I think that the speed at which we lose, may have a lot to do with how much excess weight we have to begin with. Nonetheless, stay focused and stay on program regardless of your restriction level.

Best,

Lauren

20-30 pounds is SO doable by then! I'm only two months out, but I'm down a little over 30 pounds. I hope to be at 50 by the time my fourth month bandiversary comes around in May!

Two months out and 23 pounds down. The day of surgery I had 65 pounds to loose, I had already lost 24 pre-op so in total I am down 47 pounds,, I cant believe it....

It definitely depends on how much weight you have to lose, but I think you can do it! Especially if you make the right food choices and stay active. I lost about 30 pounds in the first 3 months.

3 1/2 months out and have lost 63 lbs. Make healthy choices, lots of water and make sure you get enough protein.

I'm less than 3 months out and have lost 24 pounds. Just follow the rules as best you can and exercise. And, if you have a choice as to how quickly you get fills, then be proactive about it and get a fill as soon as you think it would help you. I think your goal is totally doable. Just keep your eye on the prize. Good luck!

I'm 8 weeks post-op tomorrow and down 34 lbs. You can do it!!!!

:smile2:Banded Jan 5th, down 39lbs had my 1st fill 4 days ago.

I was banded on 11/23 and I am down 58 lbs..so follow the rules, get your fills, walk, and anything can happen! :-)

:thumbup:I'm coming up on two months and have lost 32 pounds as of this morning.l Absolutely doable!

I am 6 weeks post-op and I have lost a total of 42 lbs since beginning this journey and I have not been happier. I have really learned to limit myself to healthier choices and I also keep active by walking 45-60 minutes, 3-4 times per week and I go bowling on Saturdays...keeping my metabloism working by eating 4-5 times per day (small meals and nutritious snacks. I am back to wearing a 36" waist pant and comfortable in X-Large shirts. I have steadily lost 1-2 pounds per week. I visited my PCP 2 weeks ago and he told me that my cholesterol had decreased significantly but still had a little way to go...so he wants me to return in 6 weeks to see if I was able to lower it more so he would not put me on any medication. I know this will happen since I plan to increase my exercise by the time that I return to see him. I hope that most everyone is as happy with their choice as I am.

I was banded for 4 months and lost 22kg so thats about 48 pounds ( even though there were a few bumps in the road). 2 weeks afters surgery I lost over 10 pounds so I think 20-30 pounds is very doable. I am even a low bmier so I thought my weight loss was slow compared to others.

Good luck and have fun

You can so totally do it if you follow the plan and make sure you get adjustments... and don't sucum to bandster hell no matter how tough it is. I keep to about 1000-1200 cal a day
