my doctor reccomends tylenol, too, but the adult liquird only!
  2. In one of my support group meetings we talked about being tired. The dietician suggested to make sure you are getting all your protein in. She discussed that it is the lack of adequate protein that make you feel tired.... jus some food for thought!

    Sketchers Shape-ups

Well I wore my Sketchers to work today and felt like Forrest Gump.. I could have walked ( not run lol) all day! I just wanted to walk, walk, walk!! I have pretty bad OA in my bilateral knees and hips and a bad disc in the L5 S1 area and I had NO hip/ back or knee pain today. I got the gym membership and am more intrested in comfort and being able to walk without pain than anything. if it helps shape too, then awesome! Anyhoo, so far I reccomend them, we will see how it goes.
  5. Bought a pair of Sketchers Shape-ups tonight and cant wait to start wearing them tommorrow! Have some friends that have them and they LOVE them!! They are SO comfortable, even tryin them on. Anybody else have any or have any good or bad experiances? I hope to tighten those thighs and gluts before summer....

    Scars!?! Would you...

There is no question at all in my mind. My doctor used the Dermabond glue so after about 2 months now, I am completely healed with a little pink line left. But honestly, for the way I feel now... I would have been ok with whatever kinda scar! The weight loss and all that comes with it, is SOOOOO worth it!!

    reality check after banding

I so totally agree with you all. It seems like now looking back..... my life revolved around eating. When i went out i met someone to eat, when I went anywhere i mainly went to eat. My socialization all revolved around what i was going to get to eat and where i could eat. Its almost like I find myself bored at times now, its weird. Now when i miss going to eat i go for a walk or something. But it is a real change in lifestyle. Kinda makes to actually "think" about what is most important to you now...
  21. Sooo happy! Talked to my doctor today. I am 1 week post-op and he moved me up to puree stuff today! And right in time to puree up a litle turkey with gravy! Makin sure I get the protein in also. Havent been hungry at all even with the liquids but the tastes were gettin pretty boring. Never been so excited to taste cottage cheese, refried beans, pureed veggies and all that good stuff... Still havent weighed myself and not goin to til my 2 week MD check up. I really can feel more room in my clothes tho... This year im thankful for alot but especillay for my lapband which will help me be healthier for years to come.. Hope everyone has an awesome holiday!!

November 09 Knockouts! Check in here POST surgery! :)

I had my surgery 11/17. Was on clear liquids Wed. and Thursday, then moved to full liquids, which really helped the little bit of hunger I was starting to feel. I am just taking it kinda slow. There is no way I can eat the 1/2 cup of yogurt or sugar free fat free pudding im allowed! Am already loving this band thing...lol I feel a good amount of restriction. Its probably due to swelling, but hey, ill take restriction any way I can.... Pain wise, im doing well. A little pain when getting up from something low but other wise not bad. Never have had pain in the stomach area, just in the port site. Goin back to work Monday, but I have a desk job for the most part. Got my pedometer ready to walk on my breaks.. MD says work up to 2 miles a day asap! Well... off to get 1/2 cup of decaf coffee..... Everyone have a blessed day!
