  1. I had surgery on Dec 31st and have not had any bread or pizza dough and don't miss it a bit because my clothes fit better and the numbers are going down. When I am hungry for pizza I use turkey sauage, pizza sauce, put it hot in a deep dish pie plate and put cheese over the top and bake. Pizza with no bread. Even my husband will eat it and loves it. Good Luck with your Friday pizza days, Judy
  2. LovetheNewMe..I love what you said at the end. Listen to your band when full and not your head. Yep, I have learned NOT to take just one more bite. Great comment. Judy
  3. Closet eater...........I was also guilty but sure have come a long ways and so have you. Congrats to you. Size 14 yeah for you. And the lady at the doctors office told me that the bypass is much better and I won't loose the weight I want to. I will show her. Weigh in date today is at 208 from 267 since Dec 31st. I sure am showing her. Judy

Kelly is right, never over fill. Just when you feel full STOP eating. You can do it. I try and eat before I go anyplace so I don't eat in front of anyone and I just socialize while they are stuffing their faces. No matter what kind of food they have, I think to myself........I am full and don't want to over eat cause if I threw up in front of anyone, it would be awful. As far as the weekends, everyday is a weekend for me. I am old and retired soooooooo you can think of your weekends of being a week day and eat like you do during the week. Easier said than done......right??? Good luck to you. Judy

I love my protein shakes for a meal. Ice, skim milk, choc powder or frozen strawberries, skim milk and strawberry powder. Put in a blender or bullet blender. My new life. Weight will go down or stay the same. Weigh in days are Friday mornings. Can't wait until tomorrow. Judy Leaving for my vacation July 26th and yes, I am worried about the short plane ride also but I know I will fit that seat.

I hope they noticed but if they don't, don't give up because they will..........I promise you. I hit my 60lbs mark today and people still don't notice but I don't care. I feel good and love watching those numbers go down and having my clothes fit so much better and I now have a place for my lap top computer.................ON MY LAP. Have a good day, Judy
  7. Wow, you mind is set to do this and you are doing it. Congrats and love your blog. Judy
  8. Wow, never heard of that. I must try it because I sure am having problems not being able to go and when I do go it is so hard it hurts. Judy
  9. Wow, you sure are doing great like Rosey said.

I have a hard time drinking water also. I swear it gives me hunger pains. My husband thinks I am nuts, maybe I am a little.............LOL As far as the scale goes, stay off it or go buy another one. I use to have a scale that would show a 10lbs difference when I would get off and on it and all it did was make me put more batteries in it wasting my money. So if you need to plan to loose weight my dear.................get planning. From your new friend, Judy
  11. I heard you in a lot of those I remembers, it was like I was writing them. I am almost 6 months and still working very hard to get this weight off and get that saggy skin. My under arms are getting flabby but I don't care right now. My daughter calls them lunch lady arms and we giggle about it. All I know is that I have never lost this much weight on any diet I have ever been on and I feel GREAT! Great blog and thanks for sharing. Judy

Just a hint, for us old folks it was hard to read your blog in that color. Judy
  13. Wonderful blog and it is written like I would have written it. I have told only a few people that i had the surgery and those few that do know do NOT compliment me how much weight I have lost. Those that do not know about my surgery are always saying, wow you look good or hello skinny. I have always been the fastest person in my circle of friends and now I am not..........yeah for me. It is a great feeling and yes the support group meetings are great. I do enjoy going to them and talking with the people that are going thru what I am going thru. Enjoy your day and thank you for your blog. Judy
  14. Great post and so much of a positive attitude. Hate the negative post also. You look great and keep up the good work. Judy
  15. Love your post but wondering what size band and how much you have in it. I am at 5.5cc on 10 ccc band and I think I am at my sweet spot but suppose to go for another fill tomorrow and thinking of cancelling. As far as pizza goes..................when I get hungry for it, I cook up turkey breadfast sausage and put pizza sauce in it and get it hot and then I put that mixture in a deep pie plate and put cheese on top of it and bake it. Pizza with no crust. My husband even loves it.
  16. I have always wondered why people would even want to cheat the band. We all went thru a lot just to get it, well I did anyhow. I go to support group meetings and one girl told me that she cheated with the band and ended up getting the bypass so that girl went thru two surgeries. Now how stupid is that.......whoops should not have said stupid but that is the way I thought. I did tell her that I have not eaten any bread since my band and she did tell me not to start eating it because that is when it went all down hill for her. So, no bread and I don't miss it one bit. And yes, that first stuck feeling was the worse and scary. I almost had my husband take me to the ER but I just walked and bent over the sink and it finally went down. I am learning to put just a little on my plate even though the fat girl in me is telling me to eat more and I am satisfied. It is amazing how little you eat and feel so full. I love my band and I know it is a life change and when I get those 100lbs off me, it will be wonderful and well worth it. You have a great day and I hope other people read your blog because those who cheat should not even be on here. Judy

Congrats to you. It must be a great feeling to be under that 200 mark and you are still loosing weight. Keep up the good work. Your blog makes think, yeah I can do it too. Nice reading. Judy
  18. Sounds like to me you need a fill. I am up to 5.5 cc and I don't have hunger pains. Problem I have is that fat girl in me is telling me I should eat but I am learning, if your not hunry, don't eat. I love my protein shakes. This was not the easy way out to loose weight like those skinny people say, so you have that band and it is your tool to loose weight so use it and get your fill and you will see a big difference. Good luck to you, Judy
  19. Yes you do.......you have to and you can do it. You now have a tool to help you so use it. I found out food is not my world. Let the other people feed their face, I will talk and get to know people and enjoy their company. There is a skinny person in their someplace and you and I will find that person. Good luck to you, Judy

Is there a support group in your area? I find going to those support groups really help. Please check into it. Getting the band is not the easy way out and you do have to work at it and the way I see it, you sure are working at it. Good luck to you, Judy

Another pound for me this morning so that makes me 10 pounds less than you 57lbs for me. It is such a great feeling and I know you know how it feels. Gee, we sure are lucky people. You keep up the work and I am right there with ya. Judy

Keep up the good work and yes, it is funny how you notice how much other people eat. Not drinking you will get use to and then you will forget to drink. I have to remind myself, oh it has been a couple of hours since I drank something, I better get some water. Down 57lbs and feeling great. Good luck to you, Judy

Yep, we all worry about our band slipping but like the other people say eat what you are suppose to eat and chew and chew and don't throw up and you will be fine. I have thrown up twice, once ate Ritz Crackers and the other time my fill was too much and had to go get some taken out. Funny how they say throwing up, it feels different now with the band when you throw up. OK, enjoy your day and eat until you are full and then stop and throw the rest away or give it to your husband..........LOL Judy
  25. Love your blog. Funny how a person's body is so different. I too am down 56lbs and started at 267 but my pants are size 18 and are getting baggy so I went and bought a 16 and I could get them up but they were tight so I can not wear them in public. Size 14, wow, I don't remember ever wearing a 14, old age counts for that too for remembering things.....LOL Will be 6 months for me at the end of the month. I would just love to be under 200. Now, I have not seen that in a while also. And yes, I always thought having surgery was the easy way out but I found out different as I sit here trying to get my meds down with yogurt. I am also very tight in the morning and will have a shake about 2 hours after my yogurt and that is what I eat in the morning. Good luck to you and enjoy your weight lost. It is a great feeling. Judy
