6 months post op!

Here I am 6 months post op (had surgery 12/9/2010) I weighed in at 242 this morning (AGAIN) I had a fill last week that brought me to 5.75cc's. I am feeling more restriction than I did before, but I dont think I'm quite in the green zone. I notice WAY more restriction after working out. For some reason I'm really tight after whether I go to the gym or just walk around the lake. My body is definitely changing for the better. Although the scale is stagnant, I'm surely losing inches. When I went for my fill last month the nurse took my measurements, I lost 4 inches from my waist since the 3 month post op visit. My hips measured the same but I'm not too worried about that since I kinda wanted to keep some of them. I want to keep some of my curvaciousness. My problem and I readily admit it....weekends! I can do a stellar job working out, drinking water, counting calories and eating healthy during the week, but the weekends, I seem to throw it all out the window thus starting over again on Monday. What is up with that? I dont go overboard, but my efforts are not as dilligent on the weekend. But, this weekend, I'm going to break that cycle. I have a baby shower to go to and there is going to be bbq and all the fixins, cake and a bunch of other stuff..including wine. I'm determined to be a good lapbander and stay on target. I'm detemined not to see the scale up on Monday morning.

Are the weekend hard for you too? Any tips?

If I may offer some advise... dont get over filled. I just tried that approach and it didnt work. I barely lost any weight and I was throwing up and not being able to eat enough. I just had a lot taken out yesterday and I feel much better. I dont eat perfectly at all, but thats ok. This is life...not a diet! Keep yourself hydrated, sleep well and workout and the weight will come off. I have only lost 37 lbs in 9 months but VERY slowly its coming off. You will get there. Just remember, trust me, dont think that having more restriction will help you... it does NOT. Good luck to you!!

Kelly is right, never over fill. Just when you feel full STOP eating. You can do it. I try and eat before I go anyplace so I don't eat in front of anyone and I just socialize while they are stuffing their faces. No matter what kind of food they have, I think to myself........I am full and don't want to over eat cause if I threw up in front of anyone, it would be awful.

As far as the weekends, everyday is a weekend for me. I am old and retired soooooooo you can think of your weekends of being a week day and eat like you do during the week. Easier said than done......right??? Good luck to you.

my friend and i (she's not banded) just had this convo the other day. we almost feel like we deserve to do what we want on the weekend since we've been good all week. well that's what got me where i am! LOL! I just got my first fill on friday so i'll start solids again on mon. i cant wait to see what my new "full" feels like. i am petrified of throwing up so i'm sure i'll stop before that happens.
