  5. Many of us been there. Like you said ypu are starting over again. First it is a mind control sitiuation. You have to surround yourself with people and places that are into what you are going to achieve. Second you may have to start going to the support groups at the hospital you had your surgery. Third, love yourself regardless. Love yourself enough to say you want the very best for YOU.!!!! I know you can do it, I've been there were your at. One day I just woke up and got serious about me.

You know it is terrible when the person your with HATES on you and I mean HATES on you. They know how hard you worked to loose the weght but in-directly try to do things to discourage you. I SAY THIS TO THE LAPBAND COMMUNITY: DON'T LET NOTHING OR NO-ONE HOLD YOU BACK FROM YOUR OWN PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS. We know how we felt before we got the surgery. I am down from 250 to 175 and still going strong. MY GREATEST ADVICE IS LOVE YOU, EVERYDAY TRY TO DO KNEW THINGS, LEARN ABOUT YOUSELF. I also start watching the cooking channels. My favorite is "NOT MY MOMMA COOKING" Bobby is so fine! Somestimes we can be so TESTED. As I always say "I DIDN;T GET CUT FOR NOTHING". Love yourself please because no one will treat you and love you as good as you treat youself.

TODAY IS MY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I'VE LOST ALL TOGETHER 75LBS. (30 MORE TO GO). I FIND MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE IS WATER WEIGHT. EVERYTIME I LOOK AT MY PREVIOUS PICTURE, IT LOOKS LIKE I LET GO A PREVIOUS PERSON. I LOVE ME MORE TODAY AND THANK GOD FOR SEEING ME THRU IT ALL.
  9. It's normal to be hungry after 3 hours. Try eating healthy snacks in between time.

Today I officaly lost 70 lbs and I'm happy but my band has slip and is very unconfortable and I see my surgeon on Monday. I hope I don't have to get any surgery and to top it all off my birthda is 2/28. I will see what he says Monday and keep it in prayer.
  15. Sometimes you have to change what you eat. Your body get's use to the same things and it becomes complasive (not sure if I spelled it right) in other words your body becomes stagnated. You have to change your eating habits but stay on your same calorie intake. Trust and beleive if your eating your proteins accordingly. You should be moving a bowel movement everyday and sometimes twice a day. Food for thought" I have the Abs Diet for Women book". Very good book. Designed for Women. For us lap-band people. It definately works because we can't eat like we use to anyway. Even if you can eat a little more. The Abs Diet for Women book has a lot of good healthy nutritienal foods to eat. The book is Fat and Orange. That's if you decide to get it. Good Luck!. P.S. I go through my struggles just like everyone else but I have (2) sizes to go and I'm going to accomplish it.

I can wear a size 6 underears (actually is a size 8-10 in clothes). Sometimes I still can't believe it. I can't rap this thing in my mind. I've been a size 24 for so long, now I'm a size 12 and still don't grasp it sometimes.

I'm so sorry your are going thought that situation. No one needs to be talked to like that. Life is a struggle under any situations. Whenever you feel overwhelmed by the negativity, take a verse out the bible about" Daniel who was put in the lions den, but through his faith GOD protected him and he wasn't eaten". I always remember that verse because imagining that situatiion about Daniel made me relieves that just as long as my faith is strong and I believe in my GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. MAYBE IT'S YOUR TIME TO MOVE ON AND GET SOME PEACE OF MIND. You didn't go under that knife for nothing. You got that band done for a reason and that is TO HELP YOU AND ONLY YOU. YOU MATTERS, YOU ARE IMPORTANT AND GOD LOVES YOU, EVEN WHEN YOU THINK NO-ONE ELSE DOES. One thing I learned is that when you are doing positive thingsand it shows, people can be so jealous of you and sometimes you don't even know it. TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF AND SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU REALLY ARE AND HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE.. LOVE YOURSELF BECAUSE KNOW ELSE WILL LOVE YOU AND TREASURE YOU LIKE YOU WOULD YOURSELF. TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK!
  19. Hi Tracie, First of all you did good by exposing that behavior about yourself. and also I like the fact that you are acknoledging what is going on with you. So maybe you woulld like to look into (FA)-Food Anonoymous or speak with someone that can help you with the mental side of the weight-loss. I understand where you are coming from. Your doing great, keep up the good work.
  20. I found during this journey you body will stagnate for some reason. My suggestion, whatever you did in the biginning to loose weight, continue the same progress such as stage 1, 2 and 3. Sometimes the chemical in certain foods isn't doing our body good. But when were on that stage 1, 2 and 3 it worked. Good Luck people.

Congradulations on your new journey. I definately understand your excitement. I would say be careful about putting guidelines on your workout this early. Even though you want to walk 2 miles. Just go for walk and see how far you can go. Try not to do anything strenuous untl atleast 30 days. Again congradulations. Were all there in prayer in your journey.

Good morning lapband community. I am feeling good today. I took another bloggers advice and beef up my workout and I'm seeing results with the last few days. Thank all of you who post on here. It definately keeps me inspired and makes me feel like I'm not alone. But I will tell you ,sometimes I am afraid and scared because I'm not use to the type of attention I get. WOW I'm a size 12 and imagine when I get a size 8, I may have to put a bag on my head, LOL. Well I'm pretty sure you all know what I'm talking about. It's just not losing weight, it's also being more tone and curvy because we are working out we can't afford to not workout because it wll droop on us. So it's like DARN IF YOU AND DARN IF YOU DON'T. Trust and believe I'm not complaining, It's just that I'm not use to it. Sometimes in my brain I am still a size 22/24. Maybe I need to see a shrink, I don't know. Any advice.
  23. I'm sorry to hear about your expeirnce. I wish you good luck also.
