I'm going to kill my ******* mother. She constantly harasses me about going to the gym. And i mean harasses. She screams and yells and calls me pathetic and freaks the f**k out that I don't go EVERY DAY. She understands nothing. She respects nothing. It makes me want to never exercise just to spite her but that's so wrong. I can't stand this. I've got to get out of this city and get away from my family. I love them but the closeness is driving me insane.

Jesus christ. She knows how depressed and nutty I've been, too. What a ******* moron.

I don't know what to do

you clearly need to chill and bring your mother into your support circle. What do you do all day?

I have a sitiation where I am stuck living with my in laws for a few months, You know usually your parents help you out but they've managed to squander everything they've ever had so it's our job to make sure they're not homeless for now. I'm sure they are just wonderful people, really, really really? Except what I see is people who are lazy, unambitious slobs who will constantly mooch off of other people. While I would not tolerate ANY of my family speaking to me the way your mom does, I can certainly relate to the being too close.

Sounds like the personal trainer didn't work out a couple of weeks ago?? One thing my doctor told me is that you don't have to step one foot in a gym to be success with the band...we have our own gym outside! I was your size too when he said it and I lost 130 lbs in 10 months! Walking, Running and Swimming are my doctors top choices for exercise. I think if you started to walk..put on some music...it might be the best thing for you. It will get you out of the house away from the drama. Do you cook or participate in the meal preparation? If not, why don't you start? This could help you prepare more meals that are higher in protein...plus it keeps you busy. The main reason I am going to say to stop smoking the pot is due to smoking will cause you to have ulcers with your band...you really don't want that to happen do you? I wish you the very best on your journey and I am proud of your loss so far! Keep up the continued success! Take care!

I am so sorry to hear that you are having these issues with your mother, but she is your mother. I feel like she is only trying to help in the only ways she know how to help you. Try hard not to take her efforts personal, and find alternative ways to met your weight lost goals. I do wish you the very best of luck.

I'm so sorry your are going thought that situation. No one needs to be talked to like that. Life is a struggle under any situations. Whenever you feel overwhelmed by the negativity, take a verse out the bible about" Daniel who was put in the lions den, but through his faith GOD protected him and he wasn't eaten".

I always remember that verse because imagining that situatiion about Daniel made me relieves that just as long as my faith is strong and I believe in my GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

MAYBE IT'S YOUR TIME TO MOVE ON AND GET SOME PEACE OF MIND. You didn't go under that knife for nothing. You got that band done for a reason and that is TO HELP YOU AND ONLY YOU. YOU MATTERS, YOU ARE IMPORTANT AND GOD LOVES YOU, EVEN WHEN YOU THINK NO-ONE ELSE DOES.

One thing I learned is that when you are doing positive thingsand it shows, people can be so jealous of you and sometimes you don't even know it.

TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF AND SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU REALLY ARE AND HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE..

LOVE YOURSELF BECAUSE KNOW ELSE WILL LOVE YOU AND TREASURE YOU LIKE YOU WOULD YOURSELF.

TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK!

How horrible. your mother is attempting to damage your fractured self-esteem by being negative and mean in the hopes you'll be angry enough to "show her". and get in the gym, loose weight, etc. You need to establish some ground rule with your mother. First tell her that how your approach your health and weigh loss is your business and if she can't offer support don't comment. I agree with the other comments that you do need a support system and its a shame she can't or won't be that for you. She may have some underlying issues that have surfaced since you decided to get banded and change. Some people are so afraid to make changes in their life they will sabotage other...she could be doing this to you even though she's your mother...you should seek counseling to deal with this issue because its getting in the way of you enjoying the greatest journey you've could have ever undertaken...you are letting her rob you of this moment to transform your life...my motto is "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, Live the Life You've Always Imagined" henrydavidthoreau. I pray you find peace and can reach your goals.
