  1. Awwww you look so beautiful! Thank you for the encouraging words and advice. Very motivating Flo. You just look so healthy and glowing. It's people like you that reassures us newbies that we got this and it's not a race, each person is different and we have to take it one day at a time. Thanks again for sharing and encouraging ?
  2. Awesome!! Sounds like what I'm doing as well...Keep it up girlfriend ?
  3. WOW!! Congratulations, you are doing fantastic and you look so good...you started at a low weight and lost a lot of weight quickly, do you mind sharing what your personal plan looks like, food intake, exercise etc.
  4. Maybe just say the next time That is not nice and you do not know her story because EVERY one has one. I always feel that people who bad mouth others do it to make themselves feel better about their insecurities. Also next time tell them that you are going to pray for them and walk away. Poof be gone!!
  5. I'm eating most of all normal foods except beef and pork, I tried beef but my tummy is not ready for it yet. But yeah my program allows all foods at 6 weeks but they do advise us about beef and pork.
  6. You look great either way, it’s nice to have that versatility also and you are so positive about it. Beautiful! ?
  7. Jolly Rancher has a watermelon flavor sugar free mix, it’s so yummy!! I don’t mind water but when I want something sweet I love that one...it’s taste just like the jolly ranch watermelon candy. ?
  8. @Seahawks Fan you’re doing good and the scale will move soon...I was on a 3.5 week stall and the scale moved today, like you I was somewhat frustrated but I was noticing my clothes getting looser, as long as we stick to and follow the plan we will be fine. Congrats on your weight loss so far ??
  9. @tmrtyty2018 @Ed_NW drinking that much water is not a bad thing guys, I liked water before surgery and I still like it now and the taste never changed for me after surgery. I’m 6 weeks post op and can really drink a lot of water quickly, I don’t chug like I used to but can take big gulps at a time, I was concerned about being able to gulp a lot of water but another poster who’s almost close to a year post op told me that she can chug water and that made me feel much better. That’s water only...I can only eat 1-2 oz of food at each meal because restriction is great. I wish the both of you well
  10. I’m 6 weeks post op and I can drink a lot of water as well, no more sips for me YESSSSS I’m happy because I like water, it was about 3 weeks also when I realized I could drink gulps. I can’t drink 16 oz at one time like before but Hilo’s...As far as eating, try eating slower, put your utensil down between bites, after you swallow then have another bite and maybe you will notice, I was never a burper but now as soon as I get full I start to burp and I feel full. I wish you all the best.
  11. So true! We need those little reminders ?
  12. Same requirements as Orchids&Dragons I have Cigna as well.
  13. You look gorgeous hun ?
  14. @Frustr8 Congratulations! That is awesome, you passed me...my surgery was on 8/29/18 I lost 20 lbs really quick (the first 2 1/2 weeks) then another 1 and now stalling and I’m ok with that because I’m sticking to the plan. Besides I think 21 lbs is great for 5 1/2 weeks. I’m so happy for you...keep it up and I will too ?
  15. Mine was pretty much the same as @j San The first 10 days full liquids including protein shakes, 1 week of soft, 1 week of purée then full foods but was told to wait about 4-6 months before starting beef/steak and pork chops but everything has been working out fine so far, I’m tolerating everything that I’ve tried. I am 5 1/2 weeks post-op. I wish you all the best
  16. @Frustr8 I found the tropical popsicles and I am hooked, pineapple is my favorite but I like all 3 flavors...thanks for turning me in to those. My go to snacks are a wedge of laughing cow cheese, with celery, carrots or 5 multi grain sesame crackers, unsalted mixed nuts, string cheese, 1/2 of small apple with peanut butter, 7 seedless grapes, 1/2 boiled egg.
  17. I used to have headaches as well everyday, I just gave up as to what was the cause. But now that I am almost off most of the medication that I was taking before surgery for high BP, Diabetes, Cholesterol and NO MORE headaches...Waalah! I am making healthy choices and reading labels more.
  18. @Hungryman I know it can be frustrating but you are really doing good so congratulations...one of the posters posted his weight loss journey for 10-12 months and he lost slow but the big picture was he lost about 90 or so lbs in that time frame...his point was “Look at the big picture” when I think about it, really makes a lot of sense...I try and keep that thought in the back of my mind. You’re doing awesome. Keep up the good work.
  19. I’m going through the same thing, I was always hot but now I’m freezing at work. I love it! Now I can wear all of the cute jackets and sweaters that’s just been hanging in my closet...it’s a pleasant change for me, I’m not even having anymore hot flashes come to think of it...yessss!! I hope that last lol
